Tom Hessert posted the fourth-quickest speed in practice at Salem (IN) Speedway and started the Federated Auto Parts 200 in third place.

He took over the lead on lap 24 and held it for 39 laps before eventual winner, Ken Schrader, took over the point. The crew worked on the car throughout the day and Hessert struggled through the remainder of the race to get the handling back on the car. In spite of three additional pit stops, none of the changes that the crew made brought the car back to how it felt early in the race. In spite of the struggles, Hessert managed to pull out a seventh-place finish. Hessert will head to Talladega Superspeedway as the defending race winner.-ARCA Racing

With the starting lineup for Sunday's Federated Auto Parts 200 at Salem (IN) Speedway set by 2014 car owner points, Kyle Weatherman took the green flag from the ninth spot.

He quickly picked up two spots before getting tangled up with some of the leaders on lap four as the yellow flag flew for the first time. This time, Kyle didn’t escape injury, coming into the pits with a buckled hood. After a couple of visits to the pits during the caution, the crew had Weatherman ready to return to the track in 20th, still on the lead lap. The 17-year-old continued to prove what he is made of as he sat fourth by lap 100 and second 19 laps later. With less than 25 laps to go, Weatherman set his sights on the lead, grabbing fourth on lap 190 and third one lap later. As the white flag flew, Weatherman took the second-place spot, securing his third runner-up spot in 16 ARCA Series starts.-ARCA Racing

He led the first 23 laps after passing Austin Wayne Self at the start of the race. Enfinger was a top contender for a majority of the race until an incident occurred involving another car, causing the rear track bar mount to break after the Fairhope A.L., native hit the wall going for the lead. After coming to pit road to assess the damage, crew chief Kelly Kovski made the call not to go back out, relegating Enfinger and his GMS Racing team to a 13th-place finish.-ARCA Racing Series
