He started 6th on the grid and completed all of the 250 laps run. Berry, who was making his first NXS start of the season, is currently 45th in the 2016 NXS championship standings after this event.

Erik Jones (#20 DeWalt Toyota Camry) won the U.S. Cellular 250, his fifth victory in 45 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) races.

This is his third victory and 12th top-10 finish in 2016. It is his first victory and third top-10 finish in four races at Iowa. Ty Dillon (2nd) posted his fifth top-10 finish in six races at Iowa. It is his 12th top-10 finish in 2016. Elliott Sadler (3rd) posted his 12th top-10 finish in 12 races at Iowa. Sadler leads the point standings by 14 points over Daniel Suarez.
Jul 30 - 11:36 PM

Daniel Suarez (#19 ARRIS Toyota Camry) won the Coors Light Pole Award for the U.S. Cellular 250 with a lap of 132.811 mph.

This is his fifth pole in 54 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) races. It is his second pole and 19th top-10 start in 2016. This is his second pole in four races at Iowa Speedway. Erik Jones (2nd) posted his 19th top-10 start of 2016 and his fourth in four races at Iowa. Dakoda Armstrong (3rd) posted his first top-10 start at Iowa.

This spring, Chase Elliott qualified 13th at Pocono Raceway—narrowly missing the final round of time trials—but challenged for the lead late in the Axalta We Paint Winners 400 and finished fourth. This Friday, he posted the eighth-fastest lap and starts five positions further ahead.

Elliott also qualified in the top 10 recently at Kentucky Speedway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but sustained crash damage. If he stays out of trouble, he should easily get back on the top-10 track.
Jul 30 - 4:40 PM

Trevor Bayne recorded a lap of 173.534 mph and will line up 31st on Sunday at Pocono Raceway for the Pennsylvania 400. He also qualified in the 30s two weeks ago on another flat track of New Hampshire Motor Speedway and this spring on the minimally-banked Martinsville Speedway.

Bayne improved slightly at Martinsville to finish five positions better than he qualified; he was 27th at the checkers. At New Hampshire, he advanced eight spots to finish 23rd. He should also earn positive place-differential points this week.
Jul 30 - 4:31 PM

Josh Wise will start a Pocono Raceway event in 38th for the third consecutive time. He qualified in that position in June 2015 and again this June. He missed the August 2015 event.

After starting 38th, Wise has moved up through the grid in his last two attempts. He finished one lap off the lead lap in both events to score a 29th in 2015 and 27th this year.
Jul 30 - 4:19 PM

William Byron (#9 Liberty University Toyota Tundra) won the Pocono Mountains 150 at Pocono Raceway, his fifth victory in 13 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) races.

This is his fifth victory and seventh top-10 finish in 2016. Cameron Hayley (2nd) posted his second top-10 finish in two races at Pocono. Brett Moffitt (3rd) posted his first top-10 finish at Pocono. Byron leads the NCWTS point standings by 25 points over Matt Crafton.
Jul 30 - 4:14 PM

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. enters the Pennsylvania 400 at Pocono Raceway with three straight top-15s on NASCAR’s minimally-banked courses. He finished 15th in the Axalta 400 on this track, 10th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and was 12th last week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

To earn his 15th at Pocono this June, Stenhouse had to overcome a 25th-place qualification effort. This week, he lines up 14th and without the potential for some place-differential points he might not be as great a value. He should be used only if he fits a final niche on one’s roster.
Jul 30 - 4:10 PM

David Ragan qualified 34th this June for the Axalta We Paint Winners 400 before climbing to 23rd at the checkers. In addition to what he earned for his finishing position, Ragan added 10 place-differential points to his total.

This will be Ragan’s 20th start on the triangular track and he has the experience to finish at least 22nd. He has not finished worse than 23rd in his last six attempts and those starts came with moderately-funded teams.
Jul 30 - 2:53 PM

Austin Dillon posted the second-quickest, 10-lap average in final practice for the Pennsylvania 400 at Pocono Raceway. His 10-lap average of 174.442 mph was set from laps 24 through 33.

Dillon had only the 11th-fastest single lap. He qualified 12th. It is likely he will get mired in traffic early, but should be able to record a top-10 finish unless something goes wrong.
Jul 30 - 2:30 PM

Martin Truex Jr. posted the fastest single lap in Pocono Raceway’s final practice session for the Pennsylvania 400 with a speed of 176.377 mph. He will lead the Pennsylvania 400 field to green.

That confirms his pole winning lap from Friday and confirms that he has short run speed. So long as he stays in contact with the leaders, he should surge late in the race and challenge for a victory. Even if he does not challenge for the win, he should lead laps early and that will offset any possible place-differential points’ loss.
Jul 30 - 12:29 PM

In five previous attempts at Pocono Raceway, Cole Whitt has finished better than he started in every event. This June he improved seven positions from a 37th-place qualification attempt before getting stranded in 30th with a Rear Gear failure.

Whitt qualified 36th for the Pennsylvania 400 with a lap of 171.716 mph. He may need a little help in the form of attrition to move forward in a sixth consecutive race and as a result is just on the cusp of being a good value.
Jul 30 - 12:02 PM

Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon will join Jimmie Johnson in the back half of the pack on Sunday at Pocono Raceway for the Pennsylvania 400. Kahne posted a lap of 175.901 mph and will roll off the grid 23rd; Gordon starts 24th with a lap of 175.706. Johnson starts just outside the top 20 in 21st.

Hendrick Motorsports is struggling across the board in recent weeks. If they are going to turn their season around anyplace, Pocono is a great place to do so. Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Chase Elliott ran well here in June and Hendrick is the winningest team in track history.
