This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s second Dover International Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

In six NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), Nemechek has recorded two top-10 finishes, with an average starting spot of 17.8 and an average finish of 14.2 on these racetracks. MeetBall, a real-time location sharing navigation application, will be the primary partner on the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado at the Dover International Speedway for the Lucas Oil 200. In April, John Hunter Nemechek was announced as the free mobile app's exclusive NASCAR brand ambassador.-NEMCO Motorsports

Cole Custer will be behind the wheel of the No. 00 Haas Automation Chevrolet Silverado in his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) event since racing at Martinsville Speedway in March.

Earlier this month at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Kasey Kahne drove the No. 00 Chevrolet to the team’s first NCWTS victory. Custer has three starts to his credit at Dover, one in NCWTS competition and two in the K&N Pro Series East. His best finish was 14th in both series. Custer holds two starts at the concrete facilities of Dover International Raceway and Bristol Motor Speedway in NCWTS competition. He’s earned an average finish of 11.0 in those events.-JR Motorsports

Ben Kennedy has one start at Dover International Speedway in 2014, his rookie season.

The 23-year-old driver started in the 10th position and earned a seventh-place finish, completing all 200 laps. Kennedy also has three K&N Series East starts at the one-mile facility, with one top-10 finish.-Red Horse Racing

In eight previous starts at the Monster Mile, Timothy Peters has recorded four top-10 finishes.

In 2014, Peters recorded his best start at the track, qualifying third. The veteran NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver finished the event in the 10th position. Peters will drive chassis number 015, which Peters raced three times in 2014, at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Dover International Speedway and Kentucky Speedway, recording a top finish of fourth at Kentucky.-Red Horse Racing

The Carolina Nut Co. will adorn the No. 97 Toyota Tundra of NASCAR Next driver, Jesse Little in his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut at Dover (Del.) International Speedway.

With three career starts at the proverbial Monster Mile in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, including a pole in 2014 and a fifth-place finish in 2013, Little has amassed one win, 11 top-five and 19 top-10 finishes across 39 career starts in the series since 2012. In addition to making his NCWTS debut at Dover on Friday, Little is scheduled to compete in the series at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta (July 9), Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth (November 6), and the season finale at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway (November 20).-ThorSport Racing

Jamie McMurray’s crew chief Matt McCall has been place on probation through December 31st after receiving a P2 penalty from NASCAR. The punishment was for modifying the right rear quarter panel opening after qualifying inspection for the Coke 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

So long as McCall does not get dinged by NASCAR again, the impact of this penalty will not be felt, but he will face harsher fines if caught with another infraction. That will make the team slightly more conservative in future races.

Jimmie Johnson and Justin Allgaier have received P1 penalties from NASCAR for taking too many passes through the inspection line during the All-star and Coke 600 weekends. No matter how well they qualify at Dover International Speedway for the FedEx 400, they will have the last two pit stall selections.

On a tight pit road like Dover, that is a significant penalty and it is going to have a negative impact on Johnson’s ability to win. Allgaier qualified 35th in two of his last three starts and will not feel the impact nearly as much.

Paul Menard has been consistent and occasionally strong at Dover in recent seasons. He enters the FedEx 400 with four consecutive top-20s and a best of 10th in this event last spring.

Menard’s worst finish at Dover in the past three years was a 24th and he has an average of 17th. He should finish in that range again on Sunday and that predictability allows players to formulate a strategy.

Justin Allgaier simply needs a clean race this week at Dover International Speedway. He has been involved in at least six accidents in his last seven starts; two of these came at Martinsville Speedway in the STP 500, which leaves two incident-free events.

At Bristol Motor Speedway, Allgaier salvaged a strong finish despite sustaining damage, but he was not as lucky last week at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Coke 600. He failed to finish and was credited with 43rd.

Brian Scott has been a hidden fantasy value this year with a 13th-place finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and a 27th at Auto Club Speedway. He might have made that three strong races at Talladega SuperSpeedway if not for a blown engine.

Dover International Speedway is tough to master, but it is a driver’s track. Scott should be able to separate himself from the other mid-tier drivers and finish somewhere in the high 20s or low 30s this week. That makes him a good value, and depending on his qualification effort he could be a great value.
May 27 - 12:27 PM

Jeb Burton has been running at the end of a Cup race only once in his last six attempts. That came at Richmond International Raceway in April when he finished 38th in teammate JJ Yeley’s car.

Burton showed a lot of promise in the opening races with one top-30 and three other results inside the 30s in five starts. He was forced to take a provisional to start three times, however, and needs to improve his qualification efforts.
May 27 - 12:25 PM

Jeff Green will make his third attempt to qualify for a Cup race this year and his first at Dover International Speedway since 2010. He failed to qualify that year for Front Row Motorsports.

Green’s last starts on this track came in 2007 driving for Gene Haas. He finished 30th in the spring and 31st in the fall after suffering crash damage. Simply making the show this week will be an accomplishment.
