Kasey Kahne finished ninth in the Bad Boy Off Road 300 at New Hampshire to become the top finishing non-Chase driver of the weekend.

Most importantly, this was his fourth consecutive top-10. He has not accomplished that feat since spring 2013. If he can add another next week, it will be his first such streak since the first year he raced for Hendrick Motorsports in 2012. Kahne is not only a solid dark horse, but his surge proves how far this organization has come in the past several weeks and it makes Jimmie Johnson and Chase Elliott better values overall.
Sep 25 - 8:02 PM

Jimmie Johnson entered New Hampshire Motor Speedway eighth in the points and he exited eighth in the standings—courtesy of an eighth-place finish in the Bad Boy Off Road 300.

That is not the kind of dominance we once associated with Johnson and the No. 48 team, but they took an important step nonetheless by having an error-free race. Johnson could be a great sleeper at Dover International Speedway next week. That is one of his best tracks in his career and Hendrick Motorsports is finally showing consistent strength.
Sep 25 - 7:54 PM

Martin Truex Jr. had a dominant car for most of the Bad Boy Off Road 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but he was shuffled out of the lead just before the checkers and ultimately finished seventh.

Truex led the most laps at 141 and netted NASCAR’s top Driver Rating. He remained one of the top scorers in most fantasy games and outperformed a substantial salary cap. Dover International Speedway is another solid track for him, so he should maintain his position in keeper leagues.
Sep 25 - 7:42 PM

Carl Edwards received a penalty for a commitment line infraction late in the Bad Boy Off Road 300 at New Hampshire with about 35 laps remaining. He overcame the penalty to finish sixth.

Edwards restarted 20th on lap 268 of 300. He got the benefit of two more cautions in the final 15 laps that allowed him to close up on the leaders. He ended the day 10th in the standings with a 16-point cushion over the bubble. Several drivers are within a few points of one another in the range and that is going to make for some interesting scenarios in Dover.
