Burt Myers captured his second Coors Light Pole Award of the season and second at Southern National Motorsports Park Saturday afternoon during qualifying for the Southern National 150.

It was the 28th career pole for Myers. Myers won the top spot with a fast lap of 14.624 seconds (98.468 mph) to outdistance Andy Seuss who followed closely in second at 14.643 seconds (98.341). Leading Rookie of the Year contender Spencer Davis followed in third (14.666/98.186) with George Brunnhoelzl III (14.697/97.979) and Kyle Ebersole (14.707/97.913) completing the top five. Starting sixth through 10th will be defending Southern National race winner J.R. Bertuccio, Joe Ryan Osborne, Bobby Measmer Jr., Danny Bohn and David Calabrese.-NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour

Woody Pitkat (No. 88 Buzz Chew Chevrolet) held off Todd Szegedy on a green-white-checkered finish to earn his second NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victory in Saturday’s F.W. Webb 100 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

It was Pitkat’s first trip to Victory Lane in 16 starts at the Loudon, New Hampshire oval. Szegedy crossed the line second and championship points leader Doug Coby finished third. Ted Christopher and Rowan Pennink completed the top five. Patrick Emerling, Donny Lia, Bobby Santos, Tommy Barrett Jr. and Mike Stefanik brought home the top 10.

Ty Dillon wins the Coors Light Pole Award for the 3rd Annual 300 with a lap of 30.736 seconds, 175.690 mph.

This is the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro driver's second pole in 39 NASCAR Nationwide Series races. This is his second pole and 17th top-10 start in 2014 and his first pole in two races at Kentucky Speedway.
Sep 20 - 7:03 PM

Cole Custer wins the UNOH 175, his first victory in seven NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races becoming the youngest driver in NASCAR national series history to win a race at the age of 16 years 7 months 28 days.

This is the No. 00 Haas Automation Chevrolet Silverado driver's fifth top-10 finish in only his first seven career series starts. Custer started on the pole (his second this season) and led the most laps (148 of 175 laps run).

George Brunnhoelzl lll (No. 28 Composite tech/Performance Tech Chevrolet) leads the final practice for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Southern National 150 at Southern National Motorsports Park in Lucama, NC.

The 97.660 mph lap was the quickest of the 15 cars out on the track for the final session. No. 1 Burt Myers, No. 79 Spencer Davis, No. 5 Kyle Ebersole and No. 51 Bobby Measmer Jr. are the rest of the top five on the speed chart. No. 12 Mike Norman was the slowest.

J.R. Fitzpatrick wins his 16th career pole award in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 Saturday in qualifying for Saturday evening's Pinty's 250.

Fitzpatrick enters the race trailing L.P. Dumoulin, the championship points leader, by 16 heading into the season finale. Dumoulin, who qualified 15th, needs to finish 11th or better to secure the title if Fitzpatrick wins the race and leads the most laps. The pole gave Fitzpatrick sole possession of the most career poles, breaking a tie he had been in with Andrew Ranger. Fitzpatrick's fast lap in the No. 84 Equipment Express/Autism Speaks Chevrolet was 17.726 (76.159 mph).
Sep 20 - 4:21 PM

Brad Keselowski posted the second-fastest single lap and had the third-quickest, 10-lap average in final practice for the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Along with Kevin Harvick and Jeff Gordon, Keselowski showed the best balance of speed and durability. Rolling off from the pole and with the fastest single lap in the morning session, Kez has to be viewed as the favorite to dominate and win on Sunday.
Sep 20 - 3:01 PM

Kevin Harvick posted the quickest 10-lap average in final practice for the Sylvania 300 with a speed of 134.465 mph from his 28th to 37th laps on the track.

His fastest lap in that session was a third-best 135.236 mph, which gives him a good balance of speed and durability. The battle for the New Hampshire trophy will most likely come down to Harvick, Brad Keselowski, and Jeff Gordon because they also had top-three fastest laps and 10-lap averages.
Sep 20 - 2:55 PM

Jimmie Johnson will race chassis No. 48-906 this week in New Hampshire; it is a brand new chassis that has not yet been raced.

Johnson has no notes from earlier in the season on this track since they wrecked early in the Camping World RV Sales 301, but his prognosis for this race is not bad. Johnson had the fourth quickest average speed in final practice and qualified among the top 10 in sixth.
Sep 20 - 2:49 PM

Kasey Kahne is still looking for his first short, flat track top-10 of the season at New Hampshire; his best effort on this track type to date has been a pair of 11ths at Phoenix and in New Hampshire’s first race.

In final practice Kahne had the 13th-fastest lap and the 13th-quickest, 10-lap average, so it seems unlikely that he will be able to climb all the way into the top 10. Expect a finish in the teens and plan accordingly.
Sep 20 - 2:44 PM

Andy Seuss (No. 11 Ideal Finance/Phoenix Motors Chevrolet) leads the first practice for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Southern National 150 at Southern National Motorsports Park in Lucama, NC.

The 14.650 second lap was the quickest of the 15 cars out on the track for the practice session. No. 5 Kyle Ebersole, No. 65 Danny Bohn, No. 28 George Brunnhoelzl III and No. 1 Burt Myers are the rest of the top five on the speed chart. No. 40 Luke Fleming was the slowest.
Sep 20 - 1:58 PM

Scott Steckly (No. 22 Canadian Tire/Sylvania Dodge) is at the top of the speed chart in the final practice leading to the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Pinty’s 250 at Kawartha Speedway in Fraserville, Ontario.

The 76.306 mph lap was the best of the 22 cars out on the track. No. 76 Jeff Lapcevich, No. 24 James White, No. 18 Alex Tagliani and No. 3 Jason Hathaway are the rest of the top five and No. 13 Trevor Monaghan is the slowest in this final session.
Sep 20 - 1:47 PM

Danica Patrick was the fastest non-Chase contender in the final practice session for the Sylvania 300. Her top speed of 134.944 mph was 9/100ths of a second slower than Jeff Gordon and eighth overall.

Patrick qualified 18th and should be able to move up through the field to finish in the top 15. Scoring top-10s require a balance of speed and strategy and this team has been inconsistent in getting those paired up, but she should be one of the best values in salary cap games and in Yahoo!’s Group C.
Sep 20 - 12:34 PM

Jeff Gordon posted the fastest single lap of final practice for the Sylvania 300. His top speed was 135.357 mph.

With Brad Keselowski winning every session until this point of the weekend, it was important for Gordon and team to send a message that the No. 2 would not go uncontested. Gordon has finished second to Keselowski in the last two races at Chicagoland and Richmond.
Sep 20 - 12:29 PM

Tony Stewart spun out of turn four with 15 seconds remaining in practice for the Sylvania 300. He did not make contact with the wall and was able to drive back to the garage on flat tires.

After posting one of the slowest 10-lap averages in Saturday morning’s session, that is not how he wanted to end the day. He remains questionable as a fantasy pick for Sunday’s race.
