Deron Williams turned Rajon Rondo into a turnstile during a 104-94 win on Saturday with 25 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Jarrett Jack was no slouch either with 14 points and four dimes tonight. Williams has come out strong in the second half, averaging 15.6 points, 4.2 boards, 7.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 treys. If you were patient with Deron last month, it's starting to pay off.
Feb 28 - 11:28 PM

Mason Plumlee double-doubled against the Mavs on Saturday with 14 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks in 31 minutes.

Brook Lopez only played 15 minutes and Plumlee was the big man who played down the stretch. At first glance, tonight looked like it was coach Lionel Hollins going with the hot hand. Plumlee has really fallen off and has been a letdown because of the Nets keeping Lopez, but feel free to give him a look after tonight.
Feb 28 - 11:25 PM

Brook Lopez played just 15 minutes against the Mavs on Saturday with seven points, five rebounds and three fouls.

Perhaps he was just being rested because of the second night of a back-to-back set. Lopez didn't look like he hurt anything, so there's no need to be alarmed just yet. His fantasy owners can just keep their eyes peeled for an update.
Feb 28 - 11:23 PM

Thaddeus Young scored 16 points against the Mavs on Saturday with eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one 3-pointer.

The Nets played five road games with Thad and went 3-2, which isn't too shabby considering they lost to the Rockets in one of those. Young's averages in that span include 13.4 points, 4.8 boards 0.6 steals, 0.4 blocks and 0.8 treys on 59.0 percent from the field. He's a hold in standard leagues and could see a slight uptick.
Feb 28 - 11:21 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic (ankle) will play against the Mavs on Saturday.

Markel Brown has looked great and it's not going to be easy for Bogdanovic to get his minutes back. Brown will start and is worth a look in 16-team leagues.
Feb 28 - 7:07 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic (ankle) has been upgraded to probable for Saturday's game against the Mavericks.

Rookie Markel Brown has stepped up and played really well in Bogdanovic's absence, so we would be surprised if he reclaimed his starting spot. That being said, Bogdanovic was only averaging 7.8 points per game this season, so his value will be limited to deeper leagues even if he does end up starting again. Leave him on the wire.
Feb 28 - 1:36 PM

Mason Plumlee started again on Friday against the Rockets, scoring 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting (1-of-1 FTs) with four rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 22 minutes.

Plumlee racked up four fouls and he's not off the hook for his terrible month, but this is a reminder that he shouldn't be totally written off. If he was dropped give him a look.
Feb 28 - 3:11 AM

Deron Williams started again at point guard on Friday as expected, scoring 15 points on 6-of-15 shooting (no threes) with five rebounds, three assists and three steals in 34 minutes.

Williams outplayed Jarrett Jack (four points, 2-of-9 FGs, five assists, one steal, one block, 23 minutes) and that hasn't been the case for most of the season. The Nets want things to work out with Williams so they'll give him every chance to stay on track, but he'll have his work cut out for him staying ahead. Either way, he should be owned in all formats now that he avoided falling off the cliff, at least for now.
Feb 28 - 3:09 AM

Markel Brown started another game for the Nets on Friday, finishing with 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting (including two threes), four rebounds, one assist and two steals in 35 minutes.

Brown is getting big minutes these days and it's anybody's guess if it continues, but he's worth a look in standard leagues as long as it's happening. He has an outside shot at a three, steal and block per game if he's playing north of 30 mpg, but nobody will write home about his current 36.6 percent mark from the field this season.
Feb 28 - 3:02 AM

Thaddeus Young played just 16 minutes off the bench on Friday, scoring nine points on 4-of-7 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds and no other stats.

Odd. Young had been trending upward nicely before tonight's setback, and it should be worth noting that Lionel Hollins has been yanking guys around this year. Owners shouldn't do anything crazy like drop him, but we'll certainly be tracking this.
Feb 28 - 2:59 AM

Jarrett Jack hit just 2-of-9 shots for four points, one rebound, five assists, one steal and one block in 23 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Deron Williams started and wasn't great, hitting just 6-of-15 shots for 15 points and three assists, though he did have five boards and three steals in his 34 minutes. The Nets are going to give Williams every chance to get himself right, but Jack has been the better player for most of the season. Hang onto Jack while this gets sorted out.
Feb 28 - 2:56 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Rockets, and he is being considered doubtful for Saturday's game vs. the Mavs.

The Nets will go with the same starting lineup from Wednesday of Deron Williams, Markel Brown, Joe Johnson, Alan Anderson, and Miles Plumlee. Thaddeus Young will also have some more opportunity for playing time with Bogdanovic out of the lineup.
Feb 27 - 6:43 PM

Brook Lopez came off the bench again and had 15 points, seven rebounds and four blocks in Wednesday's loss to the Pelicans.

Mason Plumlee disappeared tonight and has done so in two of his last three games, so maybe the Nets are getting close to giving Bro-Lo his job back. Then again, they're the Nets, so who knows?
Feb 26 - 12:53 AM

Jarrett Jack returned from a hamstring injury on Wednesday and had 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and a 3-pointer on 5-of-12 shooting in 28 minutes.

Jack may or may not replace Deron Williams as the starting point guard, or could end up replacing Markel Brown at shooting guard. Either way, he's proven his worth to the Nets and they're going to need him to play minutes if they're going to stay in the No. 8 hole in the East.
Feb 26 - 12:51 AM

Thaddeus Young once again came off the bench for the Nets, but still managed 19 points, five rebounds and a 3-pointer on 8-of-12 shooting.

Maybe the Nets will put him in the starting lineup at some point soon, but even if they don't, Young should continue to improve as he learns how to play with his new teammates.
