Player News - Grizzlies

Andrew Harrison (left shoulder) scored 12 points with two assists, one rebound, two steals and two triples in 22 minutes vs. the Kings on Friday.

His minutes went down for the fifth straight game, so he's only on the radar in deeper leagues at the moment if you need a handful of assists, 3s and defensive stats.
Jan 19 - 11:15 PM

Deyonta Davis returned to the bench on Friday vs. the Kings, but played well with five points, eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 19 minutes.

He had eight points on 4-of-6 shooting, four rebounds and one steal in 24 minutes in a fill-in start for Marc Gasol (illness) on Wednesday, but Gasol was back in the lineup tonight and played 27 minutes. There's still a good chance Gasol is moved before the deadline, and if that happens Davis would be the next man up. He has some stash appeal in deeper leagues.
Jan 19 - 11:12 PM

Brandan Wright picked up a DNP-CD on Friday vs. the Kings.

He was "available" to play, but he's not in the rotation right now. Deyonta Davis will continue backing up Marc Gasol and we don't see why Memphis would go away from that.
Jan 19 - 11:10 PM

Marc Gasol (illness) returned from a one-game absence on Friday vs. the Kings and was quiet, scoring six points on 3-of-6 shooting with eight rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal.

He played just 27 minutes due to the lopsided score, so hopefully he responds well in the morning because the Grizzlies play the second game of a back-to-back set vs. the Pelicans. Teams usually don't shootaround on the second day of back-to-backs, so just make sure he's active later in the evening.
Jan 19 - 11:06 PM

Dillon Brooks kept his foot on the gas with 22 points, three rebounds, three steals and three triples vs. the Kings on Friday.

He's been really solid in three straight games, averaging 19.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 3.6 triples in that span. The Grizzlies play again on Saturday vs. the Pelicans, so give him a look while he's hot if you need a streaming option. Chandler Parsons isn't going to be a threat anytime soon.
Jan 19 - 11:00 PM

Ben McLemore came out of nowhere to score 21 points against the Kings on Friday, hitting 6-of-13 shots and 6-of-6 free throws.

Talk about a revenge game. McLemore was a DNP-CD in his previous two games and played a total of 15 minutes in January prior to tonight, but the Grizzlies let him have some fun against his former team. He added two rebounds, two assists, one steal and three triples in 27 minutes, and while he gave the coaching staff something to think about, fantasy owners can ignore him unless he earns a permanent spot in the rotation.
Jan 19 - 10:56 PM

Brandan Wright (illness) is available to play on Friday vs. the Kings.

He's been out of the rotation and Marc Gasol (illness) is playing, so Wright isn't a lock to see the floor.
Jan 19 - 7:12 PM

Andrew Harrison (left shoulder) will play on Friday vs. the Kings.

His minutes have been trending down lately, as he's played 30, 29, 27 and 23 minutes in his last four outings. Harrison also hasn't scored in double digits in three straight games, but he is a low-end source of assists and defensive stats for deep-league owners.
Jan 19 - 7:09 PM

Marc Gasol (illness) will play on Friday vs. the Kings.

He was originally expected to play, and now we have confirmation from head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. There's no word on any restrictions, but the Grizzlies will obviously keep a close eye on him. Deyonta Davis will head back to the bench where he loses his streaming appeal.
Jan 19 - 6:41 PM

Brandan Wright (illness) was unable to participate in shootaround and is "likely doubtful" for Friday's game vs. Sacramento.

Minimal fantasy impact here, as Wright has missed three straight games and hasn't logged more than 15 minutes in a game since December 26th. Also, Marc Gasol (illness) is expected to play Friday night.
Jan 19 - 12:13 PM

Marc Gasol (illness) went through shootaround and is expected to play Friday vs. the Kings.

Gasol sat out Wednesday's victory over the Knicks but is on track to return to the lineup Friday evening. Deyonta Davis, who started in place of Gasol, will get bumped back to the bench. Gasol is averaging 18.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.4 treys per game this season.
Jan 19 - 12:05 PM

Chandler Parsons (right knee soreness) has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. the Kings.

Parsons hasn't played since the end of December, and the Grizzlies continue to rule him out a day ahead of each game. He fantasy value has evaporated, and he belongs on the waiver wire in all standard fantasy formats.
Jan 19 - 9:30 AM

James Ennis (right calf) is listed as 'out' for Friday's game.

Ennis logged 20 minutes vs. the Knicks on Wednesday but maybe he aggravated his calf injury in the process. His absence should open up more playing time for Wayne Selden, and maybe we'll see Ben McLemore back in the rotation.
Jan 18 - 6:12 PM

Brandan Wright (illness) is questionable for Friday's game vs. the Kings.

Wright hasn't been a fantasy asset all season, so his availability shouldn't impact fantasy lineups even if Marc Gasol (illness) misses another game.
Jan 18 - 6:09 PM

Andrew Harrison (left shoulder) is listed as questionable for Friday's game.

Harrison's minutes have trended down in each of the past three games, and he finished Wednesday's home win with three points on 1-of-5 shooting in 23 minutes. His inclusion on the injury report looks like a precaution, but deep-league owners should confirm his status on Friday.
