Zach Randolph (knee) does not have a timetable to return to action.

"I don't have a target date yet. I'm just trying to get it right and get the swelling out," Randolph said. "I want to get comfortable playing on it. We'll see how it is in a couple of days. I'll probably get it checked out again." It sounds like we can definitely rule him out for Tuesday's game, but it looks like Z-Bo will be looking at some additional time on the sidelines. Owners will have no choice but to be patient for now, and we expect Jon Leuer and Kosta Koufos to continue to fill the void for Memphis.
Dec 28 - 9:41 PM

Marc Gasol was outstanding yet again on Saturday during a 103-95 win over the Heat with 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

He just won't quit. Over his last four games, he is averaging 24.5 points, 10.3 boards, 4.3 assists and 1.3 blocks on 52.7 percent from the field and 86.4 percent from the line. He's putting up first-round fantasy value and only an injury can keep him down.
Dec 27 - 10:38 PM

Jon Leuer played 23 minutes in a start against the Heat on Saturday with five points, four rebounds, one assist and two steals.

He scored just four points with three boards in a start on Friday, so the Johnny Basketball bandwagon is getting a little light. Leuer can be dropped in most leagues with Zach Randolph (knee) getting closer to a return.
Dec 27 - 10:30 PM

Mike Conley suffered a foot injury and return to action on Saturday, finishing with 24 points, one rebound, three assists, two steals and four 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Heat.

There isn't much cause for concern and he should be ready to roll on Tuesday vs. the Spurs. Meanwhile, Conley is rolling over his last five, averaging 19.0 points, 2.8 boards, 4.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.2 triples. He's a No. 1 fantasy point guard.
Dec 27 - 10:26 PM

Quincy Pondexter (ankle) will play on Saturday vs. the Heat.

He will return to his normal role off of the bench, but he won't see enough minutes to matter in most leagues. Keep Pondexter on the waiver wire.
Dec 27 - 6:13 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) will not play vs. the Heat on Saturday.

This will be his fourth straight game out of the lineup, but we don't blame the Grizzlies for exercising caution. The good news is that Randolph's MRI came back clean, and he is said to be dealing with some swelling and minor pain. The bad news is that coach Dave Joerger said Z-Bo never had a chance to play Saturday and there is still no timetable for his return. His owners will have to remain patient for now, and Jon Leuer and Kosta Koufos will continue to pick up some extra minutes until he returns, but neither is an attractive plug-and-play option.
Dec 27 - 6:06 PM

Quincy Pondexter is dealing with a right ankle sprain, and is questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Heat.

Pondexter has a limited role in Memphis, and he is only an asset in extremely deep leagues. If he sits, expect Vince Carter to see more minutes off of the bench Saturday. Stay tuned.
Dec 27 - 12:36 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) is now considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Heat.

He was recently considered doubtful for this contest, so it appears that Z-Bo is nearing a return. Check back closer to tip-off for official confirmation, and expect Jon Leuer and Kosta Koufos to pick up extra minutes if Randolph sits. Stay tuned.
Dec 27 - 12:32 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) likely won't play against the Heat on Saturday.

He has missed the last three games due to his ailing knee, and we wouldn't blame the Grizzlies if they opted to rest him until he is feeling better. Randolph is currently dealing with some swelling in his knee, but the good news is that the MRI he had last week came back clean so he should be fine with continued rest. Check back before tip-off to confirm, but expect Jon Leuer and Kosta Koufos to fill the void.
Dec 27 - 9:59 AM

Marc Gasol scored 29 points on 12-of-21 shooting (1-of-1 from deep, 4-of-4 from the line) with eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks in the Grizzlies' 117-111 overtime loss to the Rockets.

Gasol's knee hasn't come up during game coverage in a while and owners can breathe a bit better as a result. He's returning late first round value on the season.
Dec 27 - 3:08 AM

Beno Udrih hit 7-of-12 shots (including a three) for 17 points, three rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes off the bench in Friday's overtime loss.

Udrih won't be this productive on the vast majority of nights and he has no real fantasy value.
Dec 27 - 2:44 AM

Vince Carter scored 10 points on 3-of-10 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 23 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Add another make or two and this is a typical Vince Carter line and it's looking like he's about ready to get his season going. When you iron out all the wrinkles it typically leads to late-round value, but with little upside he's not a must-add or even must-own player right now.
Dec 27 - 2:38 AM

Tony Allen (eye) will come off the bench for Friday's game vs. the Rockets.

Tayshaun Prince is going to get the start at small forward tonight, but he's coming off a scoreless game and isn't a reliable option in any league. Vince Carter, Quincy Pondexter, Prince, Allen will likely all split minutes, effectively cancelling out the value of each player.
Dec 26 - 8:01 PM

Jon Leuer will start in place of Zach Randolph (knee) for Friday's game vs. the Rockets.

Leuer had a nice outing during his last start, putting up 16 points and seven rebounds over 30 minutes of action. He looks like a nice low-budget plug-and-play option tonight.
Dec 26 - 7:55 PM

Tony Allen (eye) will play against the Rockets on Friday.

He was at practice on Thursday and he should see his normal playing time. Vince Carter and Quincy Pondexter will likely lose playing time. This isn't a great situation to go with for daily leagues tonight.
