Bradley Beal continues to recover from a stress reaction in his right fibula, and Wizards' doctors have not yet cleared him for physical activity.

We are beyond Beal's original six-week timetable for inactivity, but there's no cause for concern at this stage. We'll start to worry if the injury limits his activity during the Las Vegas Summer League, which he'll likely be asked to join in July.

Celtics G Terrence Williams was arrested on Sunday after being accused of waving a handgun out of his car window at the mother of his 10-year-old son.

Williams' bail has been set at $25,000. He stepped into a sizable role for Boston during the playoffs this season, but his contract for 2013-14 is fully unguaranteed and this incident won't help his reputation around the league, which is already sullied enough that he spent the beginning of last season playing in China.

Marcus Camby has been "healthy for a while now" and he intends to honor his contract for the 2013-14 season, according to his agent.

It was reported in mid-May that Camby was still suffering from plantar fasciitis, so we're not taking his agent's quotes as the inviolable truth. The veteran center appeared in just 24 games this season and he vanished from the Knicks' rotation during the postseason. He won't be a fantasy option in standard leagues no matter where he's playing next year.

Carmelo Anthony confirmed that his left shoulder will be re-examined this week.

Team doctors told Melo that the shoulder is "stable" but it's been bothering him since April 15th and he wisely wants to rule out any structural damage. "It got to the point where you just try not to think about [the pain]," said Melo. Without any Team USA commitments this summer, he should be rested and healthy for training camp.

David West was limited by a strained right calf during Monday's practice, but he doesn't expect it to hamper him during Game 1 on Wednesday.

When asked if the injury would be an issue, West replied, "Nah." He is the Pacers' third-leading scorer during the playoffs at 15.5 ppg on 47.0 percent shooting, while playing nearly 35 minutes per game, and the good news is that his strained calf has a few more days to fully heal.
May 20 - 4:57 PM

Dwyane Wade (knee) described himself as "day-to-day" going forward, but he is fully expected to play in Wednesday's Game 1.

Wade is playing with a painful bone bruise that he doesn't think will improve with a few days of rest, so he doesn't even intend to miss any more practices during the playoffs. He averaged only 11.4 points vs. the Bulls in the second round, but he shot 50.9 percent from the field and his minutes were limited during blowouts in Games 2 and 4. We're putting him on the injury report as a precaution, but we expect him to play however many minutes it takes for a victory vs. Indiana on Wednesday.
May 20 - 4:47 PM

Jeff Pendergraph missed the Pacers practice on Monday following the birth of his daughter.

Game 1 vs. the Heat won't be played until Wednesday and there's no doubt that Pendergraph will be in uniform. Whether he plays in the series is another question, as he made just two brief cameos vs. the Knicks in the second round.

The Nets may only be able to offer impending free agent Andray Blatche 120 percent of his 2012-13 salary, or under $1.5 million.

The Nets are likely to use their lone salary-cap exception to sign European G/F Bojan Bogdanovic, which means they'd have to lure Blatche with the promise of a hefty role and a potential payday in the summer of 2014. Both sides have expressed a desire to work out a new deal, but it all depends upon how the market shapes up for Blatche's services.

The Nets are "all but certain" to use their mini-mid-level exception to sign G/F Bojan Bogdanovic, according to Tim Bontemps of the NY Post.

Bogdanovic is currently playing in the Euroleague, where he's averaging 15.9 points while shooting 41 percent from downtown. It has been reported as "90 to 95 percent" likely that he'll jump to the NBA next season, where he'd be scrapping for wing minutes off the Nets' bench.

Chris Copeland "really wants to return" with the Knicks, according to his agent, though New York's lack of salary-cap space is complicating the picture.

New York is fully expected to give Copeland a qualifying offer, thus making him a restricted free agent. Things get trickier from there. Copeland's agent thinks his client should earn "in the $3.5 to $5 million range," but the Knicks only have a $1.9 million bi-annual exception and a $3 million mini-mid-level exception.

Steve Novak admitted to being frustrated by not receiving playing time in the second round.

"It was frustrating for me," Novak said. "It's not what you want." Novak is under contract for three more years with the Knicks, but it's not clear what his role will be going into next season.

Iman Shumpert said the Knicks want him to play in summer league.

Shumpert has never played in summer league so this could be his first opportunity to do so. After showing what he's capable of at both ends of the floor in the postseason, we wouldn't expect Shumpert's minutes at summer league to be extensive if he does wind up playing.

Tyson Chandler admitted at his exit interview on Monday that he was not fully healthy after dealing with strep throat in addition to his neck injury during the playoffs.

Chandler battled a neck issue toward the end of the regular season and he never really healed to the point where he was at full strength. Additionally, Chandler's strep throat caused him to lose weight, and he said that impacted him more than the neck issue. "I wasn't where I wanted to be (physically)," he said. "Tried to give the team everything I had." Chandler fouled out of the Game 6 loss with two points and six rebounds, and he was a complete no-show against Roy Hibbert in the second round.

Updating a previous item, Bryan Colangelo will remain at MLSE in a "corporate" role in a non-basketball capacity.

In other words, Colangelo is out as Raptors lead man with respect to basketball decisions. MLSE will continue its search for a new head of the Raptors organization with Denver's GM Masai Ujiri firmly in sight.
May 20 - 11:05 AM

Updating a previous item, Bryan Colangelo could return to the Raptors in a "significant capacity," but may be removed as general manager.

The MLSE had been "negotiating" with Colangelo regarding his role, and it's looking like only a matter of time until his dismissal as the decision-maker is made official. Masai Ujiri worked for the Raptors before he became Nuggets GM and the Raptors are reportedly interested in bringing him back to Toronto.
