Paul Gaustad was hit in the head on a check by Alex Burrows in Tuesday's game against Vancouver.

The incident occurred with just 3:54 remaining in regulation, but Burrows won't be suspended for the play. He received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for interference. Gaustad wasn't able to return and his status is unclear.
Apr 1 - 5:49 PM

Mike Fisher scored a goal and added an assist for Nashville in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to Vancouver.

The veteran center has enjoyed perhaps the best offensive season of his career, but it has gone nearly unnoticed due to the fact he began the season nursing an injury. With 39 points in 57 contests, he has been scoring at nearly a 60-point rate over a full schedule. Taylor Beck, Cody Franson and Viktor Stalberg also scored for the Preds in the defeat.
Apr 1 - 12:15 AM

Pekka Rinne was beaten four times on just 25 shots Tuesday as the Predators suffered a 5-4 shootout defeat against Vancouver.

The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Nashville netminder and drops his record to a sparkling 41-15-5 mark. His peripheral stats are equally superb and he should definitely end up a finalist for the Vezina Trophy.
Apr 1 - 12:11 AM

Victor Bartley will be scratched against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night.

Bartley has had a nice season for himself, accumulating 10 points to go along with 49 blocks and 69 hits through 35 games.
Mar 31 - 6:51 PM

Pekka Rinne will get the start against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night.

Rinne comes in with a 41-15-4 record with a .926 save percentage and a 2.10 GAA over 60 starts this season. He also owns 44 Quality Starts against five Really Bad Starts, placing him among the league leaders. Rinne has gone 7-7-1 with a .913 save percentage and a 2.68 GAA in 17 career starts versus Vancouver.
Mar 31 - 5:50 PM

Matt Cullen (lower body) took part in the morning skate Tuesday, but he isn't projected to play against Vancouver.

He has sat out the last four games with a lower-body injury. Cullen has seven goals and 24 points in 58 contests this season.

Shea Weber (lower body) isn't expected to play Tuesday night.

He didn't participate in the morning skate after missing Sunday's game against Calgary. Weber has a chance to play as early as Saturday, according to GM David Poile. He added that the Predators captain should be ready for the playoffs if he isn't able to return in the short term.
Mar 31 - 2:18 PM

James Neal (upper body) took part Tuesday's morning skate, but he won't play against Vancouver.

GM David Poile said the earliest Neal could be back is Saturday against Dallas and he fully expects 27-year-old winger to be ready for the playoffs. Neal has missed the last seven games with an upper-body injury.
Mar 31 - 2:13 PM

Pekka Rinne has been named Nashville's nominee for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.

He missed 51 games last season after his hip surgery got infected. Rinne has been back to his past form in 2014-15 and he's having a Vezina caliber season with a 41-15-4 record to go with a 2.10 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage.
Mar 31 - 1:51 PM

Seth Jones scored in Sunday's 5-2 loss to Calgary.

He had gone 22 straight games without scoring a goal. Jones has seven markers and 25 points in 77 games this season. He has matched his point total from his rookie campaign and hit a new high in goals in the process.
Mar 30 - 2:18 PM

Carter Hutton allowed four goals on 29 shots in Sunday's 5-2 loss to Calgary.

Nashville scored an early goal but Hutton allowed a pair of goals in both the first and second period. The 29-year-old was most effective when he was filling in for an injured Pekka Rinne but he does appear to struggle when he plays sparingly. Hutton's record falls to 6-6-4 record with a 2.59 goals-against-average and a .904 save percentage.
Mar 29 - 8:01 PM

Roman Josi scored a goal and an assist in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Calgary Flames.

Josi opened the scoring at the 6:17 mark of the first period to give Nashville a 1-0 lead. He also picked up an assist on Seth Jones' third period goal. The 24-year-old has eight points in his last eight contests. Josi has an overall stat line of 15 goals and 55 points in 77 games. He is one of the most underrated players in the entire NHL.
Mar 29 - 7:34 PM

Victor Bartley and Matt Cullen were scratched from Sunday's tilt with the Calgary Flames.

Unfortunately, neither player has produced much fantasy value this season. Cullen has amassed just seven goals and 24 points through 58 games, and Bartley has accumulated 10 points himself to go along with 49 blocks and 69 hits through 35 games.
Mar 29 - 6:02 PM

Carter Hutton is expected to get the start in Sunday's game vs. Calgary.

The 29-year-old has a 6-5-4 record with a 2.48 goals-against-average and a .907 save percentage in 16 games this season. He last played on March 3rd against New Jersey.
Mar 29 - 3:17 PM

Shea Weber isn't expected to be in the lineup for Sunday's game against Calgary.

Weber suffered a lower-body injury earlier in the week and it forced him to miss Saturday's tilt against Washington. The 29-year-old is having an incredible season and he's arguable the favorite to win the Norris Trophy this season. Weber has 15 goals and 45 points in 75 games in 2014-15.
