The Mavericks have agreed to sign Jonathan Motley to a two-way contract.

An undrafted center out of Baylor, Motley had a strong junior season with averages of 17.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks. He was projected to be a late-first-round or second-round draft pick, but he was medically red-flagged by several teams with a concerning knee issue -- he tore his MCL against South Carolina. The Mavericks are rebuilding, so Motley will be brought along slowly in the G-League and is an intriguing project for the future.

Jamel Artis has agreed to a partially-guaranteed deal with the Knicks.

It's a make-good deal, so the 6'7" wing out of Pittsburg will have to impress at the Summer League to earn an invite to training camp. During his senior season, Artis averaged 18.2 points, 4.9 boards, 3.3 assists and 2.3 3-pointers, and he has a 43-point game on his resume vs. Louisville.
