Transactions for Monday, October 23, 2017

Hampus Lindholm will make his season debut Tuesday night against Philadelphia.

Lindholm is off injured reserve and ready to play after recovering from off-season shoulder surgery. He recorded 20 points and a plus-13 rating in 66 games last year.

Kalle Kossila has been called up by the Anaheim Ducks.

Kossila has produced two goals and six points in five games with the San Diego Gulls of the AHL this season. He dressed in one match with the Ducks last year.

Mark Jankowski has been recalled by Calgary.

Jankowski has been superb for Stockton in the AHL this year with five goals and eight points after six games. He made his NHL debut last year with the Flames and was close to earning a roster spot out of training camp.

Jaromir Jagr has been placed on the injured reserve list with a lower body injury.

The injury happened during Saturday's game and it's a shame as he was on the top line with Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau. Consider him day-to-day for now and reserve him on your squad. He has two assists in five games but those numbers will improve once he returns if he is able to remain on the top line.

Jordan Schroeder has been put on waivers by Columbus.

Schroeder has already appeared in three games with AHL Cleveland this season when he was sent down on a conditioning stint. He started the season on injured reserve with a concussion and hasn't played for the Blue Jackets yet.

Lukas Sedlak has been placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Sedlak is projected to miss about six weeks after he was injured in Monday's practice. He has two goals in eight games this season.

Markus Hannikainen has been recalled by Columbus.

Hannikainen was moved to the minors to make room for Boone Jenner and now he's back with the Blue Jackets because of an ankle injury to Lukas Sedlak. He has no points in three games this season.

Andrei Mironov has been recalled by Colorado.

Mironov was in the lineup for one of Colorado's first seven games before going to the AHL for conditioning. He may get a chance to play with Patrik Nemeth not expected to suit up on Tuesday.

Mike Reilly is back up with the Minnesota Wild.

Reilly has three assists in four games with the big club this season, while bouncing between Minnesota and Iowa.

Luke Kunin is back with the Minnesota Wild.

Kunin was expected to be called up for Tuesday's game against Vancouver after he was assigned to the minors on Sunday. He had two assists in Saturday's 4-2 win over Calgary.

Justin Kloos has been brought up by Minnesota.

Kloos could make his NHL debut Tuesday night versus Vancouver. He has one goal and two assists in six games with Iowa of the AHL this year.

Montreal has summoned Mike McCarron from AHL Laval.

The Canadiens announced the transaction Sunday and he is expected to practice with the team on Monday. McCarron has four points (two goals, two assists) and 10 penalty minutes in six games with the Rocket this year. He has collected seven points and 78 PIMs over 51 career NHL contests.

Nikita Scherbak has been called up by Montreal.

The move was made Sunday and he is expected to practice with the team on Monday. Scherbak has produced one goal and eight assists in six games with the AHL's Laval Rocket this campaign. He tallied one goal in three appearances with the Canadiens last year.

Ottawa has summoned Max McCormick from the minors.

McCormick has contributed one goal, two assists and 11 penalty minutes in six matches with Belleville of the AHL. He didn't post a point in seven appearances with Ottawa last season.

Colin McDonald has been waived by the Philadelphia Flyers.

McDonald hasn't played yet this season, as he was dealing with a lower-body injury. He spent most of the 2016-17 campaign in the minors, where he had 25 goals and 44 points in 72 games with Lehigh Valley. McDonald also had one goal in three outings with the Flyers last year.

Antti Niemi has been placed on waivers by Pittsburgh.

Niemi has struggled mightily this season as the Penguins' backup goaltender, while posting a 0-3-0 record with a 7.50 goals-against average and a .797 save percentage.

Carter Rowney (hand) has been put on injured reserve.

Rowney was hurt early in Saturday's game against Tampa Bay when he blocked a shot with his hand.

Pittsburgh has called up goaltender Casey DeSmith.

The Penguins waived Antti Niemi on Monday, so DeSmith will serve as Matt Murray's backup for now. He has been superb in the AHL this season with a 3-0-0 record, a 0.98 GAA and a .965 save percentage.

Beau Bennett has been called up from the AHL.

Bennett has posted one goal and two assists in five games with the Chicago Wolves this year. He contributed eight goals and 19 points in 65 outings with New Jersey last season.

Eric Fehr has been waived by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Fehr and Dominic Moore were rotating games on the fourth line, but this move probably means that Moore has won the job. Fehr could be on his way to the minors if he clears.

Calle Rosen has been assigned to the minors.

The Maple Leafs agreed to terms with Roman Polak on Sunday, so a roster move was expected. Rosen has one assist, five shots and a minus-3 rating in four games with the big club this year. He should get to play much more regularly with the Marlies.

Patrick Wiercioch has been called up by Vancouver.

Wiercioch hasn't seen any action with the Canucks this season. He has one goal in two outings with Utica of the AHL.

Thatcher Demko is up with the Vancouver Canucks.

It's unclear at this time why Demko was brought up because Jacob Markstrom and Anders Nilsson both appear to be healthy. Vancouver's goalie duo practiced with the team on Monday. Demko has a 3-1-0 record with Utica this season to go along with a 1.26 GAA.

The Vegas Golden Knights have recalled Maxime Lagace from the minors.

The Knights lost Malcolm Subban for four weeks Saturday and with Marc-Andre Fleury also out, they need a second goalie with Oscar Dansk. Lagace played in the AHL Saturday and stopped 23 shots in a 2-1 overtime win. He has little value at this point but that's what we thought of most of the Knights before the season started.
