Jaroslav Halak was recalled from AHL Bridgeport on Thursday.

The Islanders' original starter this season has been sensational for the SoundTigers, going 17-7-1 with a .925 save percentage and a 2.15 GAA. With three sets of back-to-backs to finish the season, including Friday and Saturday of this week, it would appear the Isles are using every tool in their arsenal to secure a playoff slot. Prior to his demotion, Halak was 6-8-5 with a .906 SV% and a 3.23 GAA with New York.

Ryan Strome has been lost to the Islanders with a broken wrist suffered in Wednesday's win over the Rangers.

He won't be able to return to the team unless they make a deep playoff run. Thus at least ends the 23-year-old's regular season. He posted 13 goals and 30 points with 40 PIMs and 59 hits in 69 games. In 30 games under coach Doug Weight, Strome posted seven goals and 16 points.

Magnus Hellberg was returned to AHL Hartford on Thursday.

The 25-year-old netminder didn't see any time with the Rangers during his latest stint. In 31 games this season with the Wolf Pack, Hellberg has posted an 11-11-2 record with a .902 save percentage and a 2.91 GAA.

Josh Archibald was summoned up from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Thursday.

The 24-year-old has two goals in four career NHL games, both coming this season in three games. Archibald also has 16 goals and 29 points with 39 PIMs in 60 games down on the farm.
