There are 13 games Saturday with one in the afternoon and the remainder in the evening. I’m going to give you some fades as these players either should not be in your lineup or tread carefully if you want them on your FanDuel squad. We will also be updating the goaltending matchups at the bottom of the column all season (up to the 7pm start times for most lineups) so check the column and Rotoworld’s daily blurbs for the latest updates.

Jimmy Howard G (Detroit) - $8,400

Howard got the start on Friday so Petr Mrazek is scheduled to go as the Red Wings play on back-to-back nights. Even if Howard was starting, he has won only one of his last five heading into action on Friday. His peripherals are good but he gave up three goals on only 14 shots Friday.  He is 3-4-1 with a 2.20 GAA and a .922 save percentage.

Sergei Bobrovsky G (Columbus) - $8,000

Bobrovsky has really struggled this season and has not been great since his Vezina Trophy winning season in 2013. He is 5-9 with a 3.44 GAA and a .888 save percentage thus far, after giving up only one goal on Friday. He may even sit this one out in favor of Curtis McElhinney as the Blue Jackets play their second game in a row.

Kris Letang D (Pittsburgh) - $6,100

Letang is well below his usual offensive output this season with only a goal and seven assists in 16 games. He is a horrible minus-11 this season including a minus-five rating in his last three games. While we think that Letang will eventually break out, don’t gamble on him just yet.

Mike Green D (Detroit) - $5,000

Green has been a big disappointment in the early going. The Red Wings inked him as a free agent after a 10 goal and 45 point campaign last season with the Capitals and it was thought that Green would quarterback the power play. Well he has only three assists in 10 games this season with a minus-five rating. He has never been below two shots per game since his second season in the league in 2006-07 but has only 11 shots this season. All-in-all, Green is not worth taking at this time.

Jakub Voracek RW (Philadelphia) - $7,500

Voracek was tied for fourth in NHL scoring last season but this year is the complete opposite as he has only five assists in 16 games with nary a goal. The one good factor is that he has 58 shots on goal but his minus-seven rating makes him a poor choice in FanDuel at this time.

Marian Hossa RW (Chicago) - $6,500

Hossa’s worst season since his rookie year was in 2012-13 when he had 31 points in 40 games in the lockout season. He has only a goal and four points in 13 games this season and it may be that age has finally caught up with the 36-year-old. He will continue to have some good games but you cannot rely on him like you could in the past.

Eric Staal LW (Carolina) - $7,800

Staal’s value on FanDuel is a player who should average close to a point a game and that is not what you are getting with Staal at this stage of his career. Staal has four goals and 10 points in 16 games with a plus-one rating and while he has a point in four of his last five games, there are better choices for his price in FanDuel.

James van Riemsdyk LW (Toronto) - $6,900

The Maple Leafs are playing solid defensively but cannot score and that is the object in FanDuel. Van Riemsdyk has five goals and eight points in 16 games but his minus-two rating and lack of penalty minutes hurt his value. He has 47 shots on goal which is good but the Maple Leafs have trouble scoring as mentioned previously so take a pass on van Riemsdyk.

Sidney Crosby C (Pittsburgh) - $8,900

Crosby has points in only five of 16 games this season and that is not good as he has a total of nine points in 16 games. While he is due to finally break out, let others take the chance on Saturday and look elsewhere at center for your picks.

Claude Giroux C (Philadelphia) - $7,900

Giroux plays alongside the aforementioned Jakub Voracek so his stats are suffering as well. Both have five assists with Giroux scoring five as well. His minus-five rating hurts and the Flyers, like the Maple Leafs, are having a hard time putting the puck into the back of the net.
