We have a full slate of baseball scheduled for Tuesday night, with all 30 MLB teams in action. Today’s article will focus on my favorite plays in cash games, but make sure to check out the $150,000 MLB Grand Slam contest on FanDuel too. It’s only $25 to enter and it awards $20,000 to first place. Click here to enter.

Pitcher

Clayton Kershaw: $11000 (2015 Statistics: SIERA: 2.53 -- K/9: 11.3)
Kershaw’s last start pretty much sums up his entire season thus far. He was pitching extremely well until something random happened. In that start, it was a home run hit off of him by the opposing pitcher. Kershaw has had some awful luck, but he still owns a 2.53 SIERA with a K/9 of 11.3. He is still the best pitcher in baseball and he’s an easy plug and play in cash games tonight. He draws a favorable matchup against the Padres, who are ranked 27th in wOBA (.279) and 23rd in strikeout rate (23.3%) against left-handed pitching this season.

Additional Plays: Jacob deGrom: $9,700, Matt Shoemaker: $8,100

Catcher

Russell Martin: $3300 (2015 Statistics vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.455 -- ISO: 0.219)
The Blue Jays are the top offense to target tonight. They are playing at home in the hitter-friendly Rogers Centre and they draw a very favorable matchup against John Danks, who has given up a .363 wOBA to right-handed hitters since the start of 2014. Martin will likely be batting clean-up again tonight and he has hit southpaws well, sporting a .361 wOBA over the last two seasons.

Additional Plays: Buster Posey: $4,000, Miguel Montero: $2,900

First Base

Carlos Santana: $3600 (2015 Statistics vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.278 -- ISO: 0.019)
There are always plenty of options at first base. If you are looking for one that has power, a favorable matchup, and is priced at an affordable salary, look no further. Santana draws a fantastic matchup tonight at home against Wandy Rodriguez. Since the start of 2014, Rodriguez has given up a .353 wOBA to batters that hit from the right side of the plate.

Additional Plays: Edwin Encarnacion: $4,400, Prince Fielder: $4,100

Second Base

Jose Altuve: $3800 (2015 Statistics vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.297 -- ISO: 0.138)
Altuve’s price is depressed, giving us an opportunity to buy low on the Astros’ leadoff hitter. He hits left-handed pitching better than right-handed pitching, but that doesn’t take him out of play tonight against Chris Tillman. Tillman has struggled with both left and right-handed hitters this season and this game will take place in the hitter-friendly Camden Yards. Altuve also has a high stolen base rating tonight in the Daily Batter Hub on RotoGrinders.

Additional Plays: Kolten Wong: $3,200, Daniel Murphy: $2,600

Third Base

Josh Donaldson: $3700 (2015 Statistics vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.522 -- ISO: 0.333)
Donaldson was the elite play at third base last night and he gets the honors as the top third baseman again tonight. He has been a lefty-crusher in recent years, sporting a .445 wOBA and a .349 ISO against southpaws since the start of 2014. He draws a favorable matchup tonight against John Danks in the hitter-friendly Rogers Centre.

Additional Plays: Todd Frazier: $3,600, Evan Longoria: $3,400

Shortstop

Ian Desmond: $3400 (2015 Statistics vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.322 -- ISO: 0.150)
If you played in the early slate of games on Monday, you were likely burned by the Nationals/Cubs game that didn’t end up being as high scoring as Vegas predicted. The wind is blowing out to center again tonight though and the total for the game is set at 10 runs. With limited options at shortstop, Desmond is an elite play against Kyle Kendrick.

Additional Plays: Jose Reyes: $3,000, Zack Cozart: $2,300

Outfield

Michael Brantley: $4500 (2015 Statistics vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.429 -- ISO: 0.236)
Brantley is one of the safest cash game plays in all of baseball. He hits left and right-handed pitching well, he can hit for power, and he has good speed. He also has a level of consistency to his game that is matched by very few players in baseball. Even though he is facing left-handed pitching in Wandy Rodriguez, this is still a favorable matchup. Rodriguez has given up a .368 wOBA to left-handed hitters since the start of 2014.

Denard Span: $3400 (2015 Statistics vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.432 -- ISO: 0.227)
Span will likely go overlooked tonight, which is more than fine with me. His price on FanDuel does not match his recent level of production and he draws a favorable matchup against Kyle Hendricks with the wind blowing out to center. Span is a multi-hit machine that feasts on right-handed pitching. He’s a terrific cash game option at a price of only $3,400.

Chris Colabello: $2800 (2015 Statistics vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.537 -- ISO: 0.368)
Colabello has come out of nowhere this season and he’s been a huge part of the Blue Jays’ offense. He is sporting a .537 against left-handed pitching and he’s been rewarded with playing time as an everyday player. His price on FanDuel has yet to match his recent level of production; making him one of the top value plays on the board. As mentioned above, all of the right-handed hitters in the Blue Jays’ lineup are in play tonight against John Danks.

Additional Plays: Bryce Harper: $5,900, Giancarlo Stanton: $4,200, Hanley Ramirez: $3,300
