We have another great Tuesday night ahead of us with nine games on the NHL schedule. The St. Louis Blues and Dallas Stars are massive favorites this evening, while the Nashville Predators are the only team playing in back-to-back contests.
Make sure to check the RotoGrinders NHL Starting Goalies Page to confirm that the goalies listed below are starting prior to game time.
Jake Allen, St. Louis Blues, $9,400 - If you are all about locking up the win in your cash games, Allen is your guy tonight. Allen has been superb in goal for the Blues this season (2.23 GAA, .922 SV%, 3 SO) and he should cruise to the easy win against the Arizona Coyotes this evening. The Desert Dogs have never been a team that has traveled well. They have now lost seven of their last eight road games, including five in a row. Look for another strong performance from Allen tonight.
Other Goalies To Target (Cash Games) – Corey Crawford
Tyler Seguin, Dallas Stars, $8,700 – Not that you need a reason to roster Tyler Seguin, but the Dallas Stars happen to be the biggest favorites on the board this evening. The Stars have been dynamite on home ice and they lead the league in goals per game. The Carolina Hurricanes on the other hand are one of the NHL’s weaker teams, and I expect Seguin and company to light them up tonight.
Vladimir Tarasenko, St. Louis Blues, $8,100 - When it comes to guys you can trust in cash games, very few are as consistent as Tarasenko. With 15 goals, 26 points and 98 shots on net in 26 games this season, he has once again proven to be an elite option. The Arizona Coyotes are struggling of late, losing four in a row and allowing 20 goals along the way. Look for another big night from Tarasenko in this game.
Mike Hoffman, Ottawa Senators, $6,800 – Hoffman has been unconscious in his last eight games, racking up nine goals, 12 points and 31 shots on net. This Senators’ top line has fantastic chemistry and they are as hot as any line in the game. The matchup against the Panthers in Florida is not ideal, but I can’t see them slowing Hoffman down. Look for him to easily find the score-sheet in this one.
Artemi Panarin, Chicago Blackhawks, $5,500 – Talking about chemistry, how good has Panarin been playing alongside Patrick Kane and Artem Anisimov. The 24-year-old Russian has been of the NHL’s biggest surprises this season with 27 points in 27 games. The Blackhawks play their best hockey on home ice and they will be facing a Nashville Predators team playing their second game in as many nights. Panarin has multi-point upside again tonight.
John Klingberg, Dallas Stars, $6,200 - This game is a mismatch in terms of special teams. The Dallas Stars have one of the best power plays in the game and the Carolina Hurricanes have a lousy penalty kill. Klingberg has been a stud with the man advantage and I expect more of the same tonight.
