NHL Plays will look at some players to consider adding while building your lineups. Remember to check back on this page later in the day for confirmations on starting goalies and keep an eye on Rotoworld’s daily blurbs for all your fantasy hockey needs.

Keep in mind that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UT).

Pavel Buchnevich (NYR) – W - $5,500 FanDuel, $4,900 DrafKings

Buchnevich went through a rough patch from Dec. 15 through Jan. 14 where he was limited to just three assists in 12 contests.  He’s turned a corner recently though with two goals and four points in his last three games, so it’s worth taking him again given his reasonable asking price.

Brent Burns (SJS) – D - $7,300 FanDuel, $7,200 DraftKings

He’s pricey, but he’s worth it.  Burns is on a three-game point streak and has only been held off the scoresheet once in his last nine games.  More than that though, he’s been red hot since Nov. 22.  If you look at defensemen from Nov. 22 to the present, Burns leads the pack with seven goals and 30 points in 26 contests.  There’s only one other blueliner that’s even surpassed the 20-point milestone over that span.

William Karlsson (VGK) – C - $6,600 FanDuel, $7,200 DraftKings

Karlsson has found the back of the net in five of his last six contests.  It doesn’t hurt that Vegas is playing against Carolina tonight, which has been up-and-down lately, but the Hurricanes have had more dubs than great games as they’ve surrendered at least four goals in five of their last eight games.

Daniel Sedin (VAN) – W - $5,900 FanDuel, $3,800 DraftKings

Sedin is an especially good option in DraftKings given his incredibly low price, but he’s worth considering in FanDuel too.  After all, he’s going into Sunday’s action on a five-game point streak and he’s found the back of the net in three of his last four games.  Overall, he’s been pretty solid this season with 11 goals and 30 points in 45 games after being held to just 44 points in 2016-17.

Joe Thornton (SJS) – C - $5,700 FanDuel, $5,100 DraftKings

Thornton was held off the scoresheet on Saturday, but he’s been strong lately with four goals and six points in his last five contests.  The fact that he’s found the back of the net with such frequency lately is pretty unusual for the playmakng forward, but it makes him an interesting gamble right now, especially given his relatively low price in both FanDuel and DraftKings.

Ondrej Kase (ANA) – W - $4,400 FanDuel, $4,600 DraftKings

For someone who is under $5,000 on both sites, he’s put up pretty good numbers in limited playing time as he has 12 goals and 21 points in 31 contests.  He has been hot-and-cold, but currently he’s on the hot side of that with three goals and six points in his last four games.
