Keep in mind that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UT).

Boston will be playing the first half of a back-to-back set on the road Wednesday night.

Kevin Shattenkirk (NYR) - D - $6,300 (FanDuel), $5,800 (DraftKing)

Shattenkirk is the most expensive defender on FanDuel and DraftKings for Wednesday night, but he has been worth it to this point. He has amassed 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 18 games this season, which includes nine points on the Rangers’ third-ranked power play. Shattenkirk has a seven-game point streak (three goals, seven assists) going into Wednesday night.

Mikael Backlund (CGY) - C - $5,300 (FanDuel), $5,300 (DraftKings)

Backlund has collected five assists during a four-game point streak. He hasn’t scored a goal since Oct. 25, but he could be due for a breakthrough effort against Detroit. Backlund found the back of the net in each of his two appearances against the Red Wings last season. He also had two assists last Thursday in a 6-3 win over Detroit. Backlund could be a solid alternative for poolies unwilling to spend up for teammate Sean Monahan, who is the priciest pivot on FanDuel at $7,600 and the third-most expensive center on DraftKings at $7,100. Still, if you can fit in Monahan then he is the more worthwhile option.

Rickard Rakell (ANA) - C - $6,800 (FanDuel) - W - $6,200 (DraftKings)

Rakell has been seeing time on the wing recently, but he is still listed as a center on FanDuel. He has generated one goal and six assists in the past five games. Rakell’s four-game point streak was snapped Sunday against Tampa Bay, but he should be able to get on the scoresheet Wednesday night. He has accounted for four goals and five points in five career matches against Boston.

Micheal Ferland (CGY) - W - $5,200 (FanDuel), $4,700 (DraftKings)

Ferland has scored a goal in four straight games. He also has an assist and 10 shots during that span. Ferland has been skating on the top line with Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreu. He has a bargain price tag for Wednesday night’s slate.

Michael Grabner (NYR) - W - $4,200 (FanDuel), $3,900 (DraftKings)

If you end up in a pinch for cap space then Grabner is worth considering. He has been quietly productive of late with seven goals and one assist in his last eight contests. Grabner has notched four markers and five points during a four-game point spree going into Wednesday’s action.
