Updated On: March 7, 2020, 7:48 am ET

NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are 10 games on Saturday, but I’m going to focus on the six night games.

Forwards:

David Pastrnak (BOS) – W - $9,000 FanDuel, $8,300 DraftKings, $35 Yahoo

Pastrnak is on a four-game point streak and has recorded at least a point in 11 of his last 13 contests. He has 47 goals and 93 points in 68 games this season, which puts him in a tie for third place in the scoring race.

Leon Draisaitl (EDM) – W - $8,700 FanDuel, $8,600 DraftKings, $34 Yahoo

Draisaitl has been the NHL’s top offensive force with 43 goals and 110 points in 68 games this season. That gives him a 15-point edge over the next best player in the scoring race, teammate Connor McDavid. Draisaitl has been particularly effective lately with 14 goals and 27 points in his last 14 games.

Nikita Kucherov (TBL) – W- $8,400 FanDuel, $7,700 DraftKings, $33 Yahoo

Like Draisaitl, Kucherov is a star who is red hot. He has 15 goals and 33 points in 21 contests. He’s been a very safe bet throughout the season, never going more than three straight games without a point. He has 32 goals and 82 points in 65 games in 2019-20.

Mika Zibanejad (NYR) – C - $8,400 FanDuel, $8,400 DraftKings, $33 Yahoo

Zibanejad scored an amazing five goals on Thursday. Let’s see what he does for an encore. He was certainly riding high even before that five-goal game, scoring 15 goals over the span of 18 contests before even factoring in his most recent contest. He’s up to 38 goals and 71 points in 54 games.

Artemi Panarin (NYR) – W - $8,100 FanDuel, $7,900 DraftKings, $33 Yahoo

You could also hedge your bets towards the Rangers by going with the expensive, but potentially very effective combo of Panarin and Zibanejad. Panarin scored five goals and 22 points in the span of his last 15 contests. That brings him up to 32 goals and 93 points in 66 contests in 2019-20.

Bargain Bin: Claude Giroux (PHI) - $7,600 FanDuel/$6,000 DraftKings/$21 Yahoo, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (EDM) - $7,200 FanDuel/$6,800 DraftKings/$22 Yahoo, Jakub Voracek (PHI) - $6,000 FanDuel/$5,200 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Phillip Danault (MON) - $5,700 FanDuel/$4,600 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Pavel Buchnevich (NYR) - $5,300 FanDuel/$4,800 DraftKings/$17

Defensemen:

Victor Hedman (TBL) - $6,100 FanDuel, $6,300 DraftKings, $23 Yahoo

Hedman contributed a pair of goals on Thursday. That continued a great run he’s had of 13 points in 14 games from Feb. 6-March 5. He has 11 goals and 55 points in 65 games this season, which makes this his fourth consecutive 50-plus point campaign.

Bargain Bin: Torey Krug (BOS) - $5,600 FanDuel/$5,400 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo, Thomas Chabot (OTT) - $5,400 FanDuel/$5,600 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Tony DeAngelo (NYR) - $5,200 FanDuel/$5,100 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo

Goaltenders:

Carter Hart (PHI) - $8,600 FanDuel, $8,400 DraftKings, $33 Yahoo

Hart has allowed two or fewer goals in five of his last six contests. He’s been solid overall this season with a 23-12-3 record, 2.47 GAA, and .911 save percentage in 41 contests. He’ll be facing the Sabres tonight, which aren’t among the most threatening of teams offensively.

Bargain Bin: Aaron Dell (SJS) - $7,300 FanDuel/$8,200 DraftKings/$25 Yahoo, Chris Driedger (FLA) - $7,000 FanDuel/$7,800 DraftKings/$32 Yahoo
