NHL Plays: Saturday

Updated On: September 26, 2020, 12:35 pm ET

NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that with only game on the schedule that FanDuel allows you to roster five players, including a captain worth 1.5 points, with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a salary cap of $50,000 for six players, including a captain at 1.5 times the points, and they have goaltenders as an option.

Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay) - $15,000 FanDuel, $16,500 DraftKings

Kucherov is coming off three straight multi-point games and he’s been the best forward of the 2020 playoffs. He’s scored seven goals and 32 points in 23 contests. Since the start of the salary cap era, only one player has scored more points than him in a single run (Evgeni Malkin had 36 points in 24 contests in 2008-09).

Others Play: Alexander Radulov (DAL) - $11,500 FanDuel/$11,100 DraftKings

Brayden Point (Tampa Bay) - $14,500 FanDuel, $12,900 DraftKings

Point has been only slightly behind Kucherov and that’s compensated for by his mildly cheaper price. He scored a pair of goals on Friday, bringing him up to 13 goals and 30 points in 21 contests.

Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay) - $12,500 FanDuel, $13,200 DraftKings

Hedman has been effective against Dallas with a goal and six points in his last three contests. Of course, he’s been outstanding throughout the 2020 playoffs, scoring 10 goals and 21 points in 23 games. Only Miro Heiskanen is ahead of Hedman in the defensemen scoring race, but Heiskanen hasn’t been as productive as Hedman lately.

Joe Pavelski (Dallas) - $8,500 FanDuel, $11,400 DraftKings

Pavelski has been one of the Stars’ top players lately with three goals and four points in his last three contests. He’s up to 12 goals and 18 points in 25 contests. Given his low price, he’s a pretty good bet, especially if you think the Stars will be able to avoid elimination tonight.

Bargain Bin: Kevin Shattenkirk (Tampa Bay) - $9,500 FanDuel/$9,600 DraftKings, Alex Killorn (Tampa Bay) - $8,000 FanDuel/$8,700 DraftKings, Anthony Cirelli (Tampa Bay) - $8,000 FanDuel/$9,300 DraftKings, Mattias Janmark (Dallas) - $7,500 FanDuel/$3,000 DraftKings, Jason Dickinson (Dallas) - $7,500 FanDuel/$3,000 DraftKings.
