NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Forwards:

Mika Zibanejad (New York Rangers) - C - $8,100 (FanDuel), $7,900 (DraftKings), $31 (Yahoo)

Zibanejad has been red hot, while generating seven goals and 11 assists in the last 14 games.  He has accounted for eight multi-point efforts during that span, while compiling 53 shots on target.

Brayden Point (Tampa Bay) - C - $7,400 (FanDuel), $7,200 (DraftKings), $28 (Yahoo)

Point has registered two goals and 10 assists during an eight-game point streak going into Thursday night’s action.  He has 19 shots on goal during that span.  Point managed to keep his scoring spree going on Tuesday despite losing star winger Nikita Kucherov from his side due to a lower-body injury.  Kucherov’s status is unclear for Thursday, but the Lightning hope to get Steven Stamkos back against Edmonton.  Point has one goal and five helpers in six career matches versus the Oilers.

William Nylander (Toronto) - W - $6,800 (FanDuel), $6,200 (DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)

Nylander skated alongside Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner in his return to the lineup on Tuesday night after missing two games due to an illness.  Whether he stays with them or shifts back to a line with John Tavares, Nylander has plenty of upside on Thursday night.  He has six goals and five assists in his past 10 appearances.

Anthony Mantha (Detroit) - W - $6,500 (FanDuel), $7,500 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo)

Mantha made an immediate impact in his first back in the lineup after missing 20 games because of a punctured lung.  He picked up two assists and four shots versus Buffalo on Tuesday night.  Mantha has been Detroit’s best player this year with 12 goals and 26 points in 30 appearances.

Nicklas Backstrom (Washington) - C - $6,300 (FanDuel), $6,400 (DraftKings), $25 (Yahoo)

Backstrom has one goal and nine points in the last nine games, while being credited with 21 shots during that span.  He has contributed four assists during a three-game point streak going into Thursday night’s action.

Oliver Bjorkstrand (Columbus) - W - $6,100 (FanDuel), $6,600 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo)

Bjorkstrand has provided 11 goals and 14 points in his last 12 appearances.  He has compiled 41 shots on goal during that stretch.  Bjorkstrand has two goals and eight shots in his previous two outings versus Buffalo this season. He has five markers and seven points in 11 career matches against the Sabres.

Bargain Bin: Christian Dvorak (ARI) - C - $5,200 (FanDuel)/$5,100 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo), Jack Hughes (NJ) - C - $4,300 (FanDuel)/$4,700 (DraftKings)/$13 (Yahoo), Andre Burakovsky (COL) - W - $5,100 (FanDuel)/$4,900 (DraftKings)/$17 (Yahoo), Kailer Yamamoto (EDM) - W - $4,300 (FanDuel)/$4,300 (DraftKings)/$ (Yahoo), Kevin Fiala (MIN) - W - $5,300 (FanDuel)/$4,500 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo), Lars Eller (WSH) - C - $4,700 (FanDuel)/$4,200 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Roman Josi (Nashville) - D - $6,500 (FanDuel), $8,000 (DraftKings), $30 (Yahoo)

Josi has earned four assists during a three-game point streak heading into Thursday night’s action.  He hasn’t recorded a goal in 19 contests, but he has 20 helpers and 72 shots during that span.  Josi found the back of the net in Nashville’s previous match against the New York Islanders this season.  He has two markers and eight points in 13 career matches versus the Islanders.

Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay) - D - $5,900 (FanDuel), $6,300 (DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)

Hedman has collected five helpers in the last four games.  He has 11 shots on goal during that span.  Hedman has supplied four goals, nine points and 31 shots in 12 career meetings versus Edmonton.

Bargain Bin: Miro Heiskanen (DAL) - $4,400 (FanDuel)/$4,800 (DraftKings)/$17 (Yahoo), Damon Severson (NJ) - $4,400 (FanDuel)/$4,400 (DraftKings)/$17 (Yahoo), Mike Matheson (FLA) - $4,000 (FanDuel)/$3,200 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo), Jakob Chychrun (ARI) - $3,800 (FanDuel)/$5,200 (DraftKings)/$17 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:

Antti Raanta (Arizona) - G - $8,200 (FanDuel), $7,500 (DraftKings), $26 (Yahoo)

Raanta is coming off a solid win over Montreal on Monday night when he stopped 26 of 28 shots. He has a 5-2-0 record with a 2.30 goals-against average and .921 save percentage in seven career appearances against Ottawa.  Raanta has five straight wins versus the Senators, including a 34-save 5-2 win on Oct. 19 of this season.

Jordan Binnington (St. Louis) - G - $8,100 (FanDuel), $7,700 (DraftKings), $25 (Yahoo)

Binnington has a 2-2-1 record his last past five outings, which could partially explain why he has a reduced price tag.  However, he has plenty of bang for the buck upside.  Binnington has gone 2-0-0 versus Vegas in his career with a 1.50 goals-against average and .944 save percentage.

Bargain Bin: Mackenzie Blackwood (NJ) - $7,500 (FanDuel)/$7,800 (DraftKings)/$26 (Yahoo), Carter Hutton (BUF) - $7,600 (FanDuel)/$7,900 (DraftKings)/$26 (Yahoo), Cam Talbot (CGY) - $7,800 (FanDuel)/$7,600 (DraftKings)/$33 (Yahoo)
