Back to the well with Vegas in regulation

I'm beginning to sound like a broken record.

We've been writing about it, talking about it and vlogging about it here on Rotoworld. The Vegas Golden Knights were due to bust out in a big way. They played too well for the results not to line up accordingly on the scoreboard over that very unlucky four-game stretch

It finally happened in Game 2 against the Dallas Stars with three unanswered VGK goals in the second period. One of the goals was taken off the board, so Vegas popped in another one minutes later for good measure. It was total domination in pretty much every facet of the game. At one point, the shots on goal count was 26-10 VGK.

Obviously, every game is different  just ask Tampa Bay about last night – but I can't stress enough how much of a relief it was for Vegas to score goals in bunches. It's massive for their confidence and extremely important for their psyche.

Dallas threw their weight around in Game 1 and it's easy to do that with Ryan Reaves out of the lineup. Reaves returned last game from a one-game suspension and the tone was certainly different. You wouldn't think a fourth line bruiser would change the complexion that much, but the proof was on my television.

Can Dallas bounce back?

Of course they can. I'll just gladly bet against it. I truly believe Vegas woke the hell up on Tuesday night and I'll bet that they carry the momentum into a very pivotal Game 3 tonight.

Sharp money agrees with the Vegas side too. The Golden Knights opened -155 and they're up to -171 at PointsBet Sportsbook with a total of 5.5 goals. I've actually got this one 3-1 Vegas, but a quick glance at the juice on U5.5 goals (-135) makes it a hard pass.

Let's do what we did the other night. Cut it down to a 60-minute bet. Vegas is the better hockey team with some newfound energy and a much needed pep in their step. I like them to take control of the series with a strong performance tonight.

Play on Vegas in regulation (-105).
