With no cynicism whatsoever, I can say that it's an exciting time of year in both real-life and fantasy baseball. Most notably, we've had an impressive wave of call-ups to the big leagues, including Nick Senzel (three homers and a surprising five steals so far), Keston Hiura, Brendan Rodgers and Austin Riley — who finally drew his first walk, and hit his third home run, in his sixth big league game. His OPS so far: 1.299.

We've also seen some intriguing young players put up notable spikes in value, from Byron Buxton (.288 average, three homers, 14 RBI and two steals so far in May) to Shane Bieber, who struck out 15 Orioles in a complete-game shutout on Sunday.

On the latest episode of the Rotoworld Baseball Podcast, Nate Grimm joins me to hit all of these topics and a number of others, including the rise of Lucas Giolito and what to make of Miguel Cabrera's lengthy power outage.
