Power Play Report

Brent Burns Catching Fire

by Michael Finewax
Updated On: October 4, 2018, 4:04 pm ET

The San Jose power play has been lacking all season, that is until this past week. The Sharks were 14-83 coming into this week, but a huge six goal effort has brought them to around the league average in percentage, as they are at 19.8 percent.

The Sharks were led by Brent Burns who is finally starting to score again after a miserable half-season, starting with the last 23 games of 2016-17 and the first 19 games of this season. He had only two goals in the 42 games, and considering he had 29 all of last season, that is quite the comedown.
