In a new regular column on Rotoworld, we reflect on the tournaments just gone and also take an early peek at the action ahead on the PGA and European Tours.

PGA TOUR

Sanderson Farms Championship

Final Leaderboard

1. (-18, 270) Sebastian Munoz (DraftKings $7,900; Odds: 55/1)
2. (-18, 270) Sungjae Im (DraftKings $10,500; Odds: 14/1)
3. (-17, 271) Byeong Hun An (DraftKings $10,000; Odds: 25/1)
3. (-16, 272) Kevin Streelman (DraftKings $7,900; Odds: 75/1)
3. (-16, 272) Carlos Ortiz (DraftKings $6,900; Odds: 125/1)

Notes: Niemann (Chile) last week and now Munoz (Colombia). It's a great time for Latin American golf. Sungjae Im looked to have one hand on the trophy after posting 18-under before Munoz matched him with a clutch 15-footer for birdie at the 72nd hole and then secured victory with par at the first playoff hole. An made it two Koreans in the top three.

Fate of the favorites

54. (-4, 284) Joaquin Niemann (DraftKings $11,300; Odds: 12/1)
2. (-18, 270) Sungjae Im (DraftKings $10,500; Odds: 14/1)
45. (-6, 282) Brandt Snedeker (DraftKings $10,700; Odds: 18/1)
3. (-17, 271) Byeong Hun An (DraftKings $10,000; Odds: 25/1)

Notes: Im and An proved excellent investments but Niemann dipped after last week's win and Snedeker fell away on the weekend.

EUROPEAN TOUR

BMW PGA Championship

Final Leaderboard

1. (-20, 268) Danny Willett (Odds: 50/1)
2. (-17, 271) Jon Rahm (Odds: 12/1)
2. (-16, 272) Christiaan Bezuidenhout (Odds: 125/1)
2. (-15, 273) Patrick Reed (Odds: 25/1)
2. (-15, 273) Billy Horschel (Odds: 45/1)

Notes: Willett certainly likes a big win. His last four? The 2016 Dubai Desert Classic, the 2016 Masters, the 2018 season-ending DP World Championship and now the European Tour's flagship event at Wentworth. Notably, the other four players in the top five were seeing the course for the first time. Willett, by contrast, had had nine previous looks, finishing third in 2016 and fifth on debut in 2010.

Fate of the favorites

9. (-11, 277) Rory McIlroy (Odds: 8/1)
2. (-17, 271) Jon Rahm (Odds: 12/1)
11. (-10, 278) Paul Casey (Odds: 16/1)
8. (-12, 276) Justin Rose (Odds: 16/1)

Notes: An extremely strong performance from the market leaders with all four making the top 11. Rose had mentioned a knee problem in the build-up which may have put some gamers off him. McIlroy flirted with the cut after coming home in 42 on Thursday but recovered well from there.
