The Week Ahead

Blackhawk Up!

by Michael Finewax
Updated On: October 4, 2018, 4:04 pm ET

There is a rarity in the schedule this week as the Chicago Blackhawks play five times. It is the first of only two times this happens this season as the Sharks play five times the week of January 15.

There is plenty to read so let’s get to it!

5 Games - Chicago

4 Games – Anaheim, Arizona, Columbus, Dallas, Florida, Los Angeles, Montreal, Vegas, Winnipeg

3 Games – Buffalo, Calgary, Carolina, Colorado, Detroit, Edmonton, Minnesota, Nashville, New Jersey,

Ottawa, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, San Jose, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Vancouver

2 Games - Boston, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Washington

Anaheim and Los Angeles play all four games on the road.

Calgary, Chicago, Colorado, Montreal, Nashville and Winnipeg play three games at home.

Arizona, Dallas, Florida, San Jose and Toronto play three games on the road.

INJURIES

Kyle Palmieri is out four-six weeks with a broken right foot. (Click here to see the rest of the injury list.)

Note: A tired team is one that has played the day or night before and is going against a team that did not play the previous day or night. The reverse is true for a rested team.

ANAHEIM

Games this week

@ Chicago, @ St. Louis, @ Columbus, @ Nashville

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: @ Nashville (Saturday)

Notes

The Ducks play four games on the road this week with three coming in four nights. Ryan Miller should get one start this week as he should return from a lower body injury with John Gibson starting the other three. Miller declared himself ready to go on Thursday. The Ducks are in the midst of a six game road trip that ends on December in Vegas. Gibson is getting a lot of shots on goal and has made at least 40 saves in each of his last three games. Cam Fowler was activated from injured reserve on Monday from his knee injury. Corey Perry had a goal and five assists in three games before being held off the scoresheet on Wednesday. Brandon Montour leads all Anaheim blueliners with 13 points, two ahead of Josh Manson.

ARIZONA

Games this week

@ Edmonton, @ Calgary, vs. New Jersey, @ Vegas

Rested Team: vs. New Jersey (Saturday)

Tired Team: @ Vegas (Sunday)

Notes

The Coyotes play four games including three in four nights. The goaltending situation is up in the air as Antti Raanta suffered an upper body injury Wednesday and had to leave the game just 14:37 into the first period.  Assuming he can play (he will miss at least two games), the Coyotes will use his three times with Scott Wedgewood getting a start. If not, then the Coyotes will recall Adin Hill to get a start with Wedgewood getting the call on three occasions. Clayton Keller has not scored in eight games and has only three assists in that span. Anthony Duclair has an even plus/minus after 18 games, the best on the porous team. Brendan Perlini has goals in back-to-back games and has six goals and eight points in 18 games.

BOSTON

Games this week

vs. Tampa Bay, @ Philadelphia

Rested Team: vs. Tampa Bay (Wednesday)

Tired Team: None

Notes

The Bruins have started Anton Khudobin the last three games with great results as he has won all three, giving up only four goals on 107 shots. He has taken over from Tuukka Rask as the Bruins top netminder as he is 6-0-2 while Rask is 3-7-2. Brad Marchand has missed the last four games and six of the Bruins last eight as he has an undisclosed injury. Still, he trails only David Pastrnak among Boston scorers as Pastrnak has 18 points in 20 games. Anders Bjork could return this week as he has been out of action since November 11. David Backes has been skating with his teammates after he had 10 inches of colon removed due to diverticulitis.

BUFFALO

Games this week

vs. Tampa Bay, vs. Pittsburgh, @ Pittsburgh

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: None

Notes

The Sabres play a home-and-home series against the Penguins so look for Evander Kane to add to his penalty minutes count if there are any fisticuffs. Jacob Josefson was activated from the injured reserve list on Wednesday after missing over a month with a lower body injury. Matt Moulson has been a complete zero this season with no points in 12 games as well as being a healthy scratch in 10 contests. Rasmus Ristolainen is the Sabres top defenseman has been out of action since November 2 but his return from an upper body injury is imminent. Jack Eichel is back with Kane and Jason Pominville after a demotion to the third line on Monday.

CALGARY

Games this week

vs. Toronto, vs. Arizona, vs. Edmonton

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: None

Notes

The Flames placed Eddie Lack on waivers Thursday. He was not playing well as the backup to Mike Smith as he was 1-2-0 with a 5.29 GAA and a .813 save percentage. Those are only slightly better numbers than Antti Niemi and he has already been waived twice this season and is now on his third team. Unless the Flames trade or claim someone, Jon Gillies should be recalled to back up Smith. Johnny Gaudreau is third in NHL scoring but saw his 10-game scoring streak get snapped Wednesday. Sean Monahan is off to a good start with 22 points in 21 games.  Matthew Tkachuk continues to be one of the better power forwards in the NHL as the 19-year-old has 15 points in 20 games as well as 29 penalty minutes.

CAROLINA

Games this week

@ Columbus, @ New York Rangers, vs. Florida

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: None

Notes

Teuvo Teravainen was named the NHL’s first star of the week by virtue of his five goal, 10 point outburst in four games. Sebastian Aho did not score in his first 15 games of the season but has a goal in each of his last five games as his line with Teravainen and Jordan Staal has been one of the hottest of late in the league.  Justin Faulk has three assists in his last two games with all three coming on the power play. He has only six points in 20 games this season as he was off to a horrible offensive start. Victor Rask is coming off back-to-back 40-plus point seasons but that did not help him the past week as he has been a healthy scratch in each of the last two games.

 CHICAGO

Games this week

vs. Anaheim, @ Nashville, vs. Dallas, @ Dallas, vs. Los Angeles

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: @ Nashville (Tuesday), vs. Los Angeles (Sunday)

Notes

The Blackhawks are one of only two teams this season to play five games in a week and this week is their week. Look for Corey Crawford to play three games with Anton Forsberg getting the call twice. Needless to say, use all your Chicago players this week. The Blackhawks also play a home-and-home series against Dallas this week so Ryan Hartman and perhaps Lance Bouma will add to their penalty minute count. Duncan Keith has yet to score in 21 games this season. He does have 11 assists. Patrick Kane is on a five game points streak and has 21 points in 21 games. Artem Anisimov had five goals in three games before picking up only an assist Wednesday. He has 10 goals and 13 points in 21 games with five goals being on the power play.

COLORADO

Games this week

vs. Winnipeg, vs. New Jersey, vs. Dallas

Rested Team: vs. Dallas (Sunday)

Tired Team: None

Notes

Semyon Varlamov is out with an illness but should be back this week. The Avs recalled Andrew Hammond but he should be returned to the minors when Varlamov is healthy. Nathan MacKinnon was the third star of the week with two goals and five assists. He has his mojo back and has 20 points in his last 10 games. Gabriel Landeskog was one of many Avalanche players to have a terrible season in 2016-17 but he certainly has turned things around with nine goals and 16 points in 20 games. There is plenty of talent on the Avs roster and surprisingly, they could challenge for a playoff spot if they get good goaltending.  Tyson Barrie was a league-worst minus-34 last season but is only a minus-two in the Avs first 20 games.

COLUMBUS

Games this week

@ Montreal, vs. Carolina, vs. Anaheim, @ Washington

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: vs. Washington (Sunday)

Notes

The Blue Jackets play four times this week so look for Joonas Korpisalo to get one and maybe two starts as Columbus plays a pair of back-to-back games. Sergei Bobrovsky is my nominee at the quarter-mark of the season as the best goalie in the NHL as he is 13-4-1 with a 1.91 GAA and a .936 save percentage. The Blue Jackets continue to struggle offensively with only 61 goals in 22 games. There scoring is spread out which is good as Josh Anderson leads with eight goals while Artemi Panarin is tops with 15 points in 22 games. Pierre-Luc Dubois is getting a shot playing on the top line as the third overall pick of the 2016 Draft is seeing action with Panarin and Anderson. Sonny Milano is back from the minors after a short stint to get him some playing time.

DALLAS

Games this week

@ Vegas, @ Chicago, vs. Chicago, @ Colorado

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: @ Colorado (Sunday)

Notes

The Stars play three games in four nights so expect to see Ben Bishop play twice with Kari Lehtonen getting one start. They play the Blackhawks in a back-to-back set so expect to see Antoine Roussel get into a fight if the situation arises (and possibly if it doesn’t). Roussel had quite the game on Saturday as he played with Jamie Benn and Alexander Radulov, picking up a goal and two assists along with 12 penalty minutes. The Stars have four players with 20 or 21 points this season in 22 games including Benn, Radulov, Tyler Seguin and defenseman John Klingberg. Ben Bishop has allowed only four goals in his last three games.

DETROIT

Games this week

vs. Los Angeles, vs. Montreal, @ Montreal

Rested Team: vs. Montreal (Thursday)

Tired Team: None

Notes

The Red Wings play a home-and-home series with Montreal this week. Justin Abdelkader is the likeliest to find himself in the penalty box if tempers flare. Luke Witkowski is on a ten-game suspension after leaving the ice in a fight and then returning. That’s a no-no. Anthony Mantha leads the Red Wings in goals with 10, power play goals with five and penalty minutes with 37. Don’t expect the latter to last. Martin Frk has skated for the last three days in a row as he is trying to return from a groin injury but his return is not imminent. Niklas Kronwall did not find the back of the net in his first 17 games this season but has done so in each of his last two.  Dylan Larkin has 16 assists in 22 games after garnering only 15 in a full season last year.

EDMONTON

Games this week

vs. Arizona, vs. Toronto, @ Calgary

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: None

Notes

Connor McDavid has apparently been battling an illness the last two weeks and has lost 5-10 pounds. He has not missed any action as he realizes the Oilers chances of winning without him take a severe hit. Jujhar Khaira was a healthy scratch for most of the early going but has been in the lineup for five of the last six games in which he has two goals and four points. The Oilers need scoring from their bottom-six forwards and this will help his cause. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is flashing some old form as he has 17 points including nine goals, in 22 games. Milan Lucic has 49 penalty minutes in 22 games after picking up only 50 last season.

FLORIDA

Games this week

@ New Jersey, @ New York Rangers, vs. San Jose, @ Carolina

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: @ New York Rangers (Tuesday)

Notes

Roberto Luongo has given up only four goals in his last three starts and eight goals in his last five, winning four of them. He is 5-4-1 this season with a 2.59 GAA and a .931 save percentage and is the Panthers number one goalie, ahead of James Reimer. The Panthers play a pair of back-to-back games this week so don’t be surprised if the two split the net. Radim Vrbata is out after being hit by a puck in the face Saturday. There is no timetable for his return. The Panthers continue to play the heck out of Aleksander Barkov as the center leads all NHL forwards in time-on-ice with 22:46. He is the only forward in the top 45.  Vincent Trocheck has 22 points in 21 games.

LOS ANGELES

Games this week

@ Detroit, @ Washington, @ St. Louis, @ Chicago

Rested Team:  @ Chicago (Sunday)

Tired Team: @ St. Louis (Friday)

Notes

The Kings play three games in four nights as part of a four game week on the road.  Jonathan Quick will see the net for three games with Darcy Kuemper getting one start in goal. The Kings picked up some bottom-six depth on Thursday when they acquired Torrey Mitchell from Montreal for a conditional fifth round pick. The Kings are concerned that Alex Iafallo will hit the wall at some point this season as he has played college hockey for the last four years, averaging 38 games per season. They may need to make him a healthy scratch from time-to-time this season. Marian Gaborik (knee) should be back this week if not sooner. He has yet to play this season. The Kings inked goalie Jack Campbell to a two-year contract. The first year is two-way but the second is only one-way.

MINNESOTA

Games this week

@ Winnipeg, vs. Vegas, vs. St. Louis

Rested Team: vs. St. Louis (Saturday)

Tired Team: None

Notes

The Wild made a bunch of moves this week as they put Zach Parise on long-term injured reserve , activated Charlie Coyle from the same list, sent Luke Kunin and Joel Eriksson Ek to the minors while recalling Zack Mitchell. Coyle missed 16 games with a fractured fibula and has an assist in the two games since his return. He is worth a pickup in deeper leagues.  Jared Spurgeon is having a fine offensive season with three goals and 15 points in 21 games, one better than Ryan Suter. Mikael Granlund is heating up with four goals and five points in his last two games.  Devan Dubnyk has allowed four goals in each of his last three games.

MONTREAL

Games this week

vs. Columbus, vs. Ottawa, @ Detroit, vs. Detroit

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: @ Detroit (Thursday)

Notes

The Canadiens play four games this week including three games in four nights. Don’t expect to see Carey Price in net so look for Charlie Lindgren to play three games with Antti Niemi getting the call in net once. The Habs also play a home-and-home series against Detroit. Look for Andrew Shaw to be in the middle of things should there be any rough stuff. Victor Mete is starting to show signs that he may need more seasoning as the 19-year-old defenseman is starting to fade after a good start to the season. He was a healthy scratch Wednesday. Shea Weber has missed the last two games with a lower body injury including a return home to Nashville, his former club.

 NASHVILLE

Games this week

vs. Chicago, vs. Vancouver, vs. Anaheim

Rested Team: vs. Chicago (Tuesday), vs. Anaheim (Saturday)

Tired Team: None

Notes

Pekka Rinne is having a solid season in goal for the Predators as he is 12-3-2 with a 2.44 GAA and a .922 save percentage. Juuse Saros returned to the Predators after playing a couple of games in the minors to get in some playing time. The Preds sent Anders Lindback back to Milwaukee. Filip Forsberg had both goals in the Predators 3-2 shootout win over Montreal Wednesday. He has 11 goals and 23 points and could get 75-80 this season. P.K. Subban had a bit of a tough time last season, his first in Nashville as injuries caused him to miss 16 games. He had 40 points but is looking a lot better this season with four goals and 17 points in 21 contests. Cody McLeod leads the Predators with 67 penalty minutes but was a healthy scratch against Montreal.

NEW JERSEY

Games this week

vs. Florida, @ Colorado, @ Arizona

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: @ Arizona (Saturday)

Notes

The Devils placed Kyle Palmieri on injured reserve this week after he broke his right foot against Minnesota. It will be his second stint on the list as he missed almost three weeks a month ago when he hurt his foot in practice. He is out four-six weeks. Jesper Bratt scored on Wednesday for the first time in 20 days. He has six goals and 14 points in 21 games. Brian Gibbons has a team-leading 10 goals this season, four better than Bratt, Taylor Hall and Miles Wood. Will Butcher leads all Devils blueliners in points with 16, eight better than John Moore and second on the team to Hall’s 21 points. Travis Zajac is pointless in four games since his return. He should break out soon as he is centering the first line with Hall and Bratt as his wingers.

NEW YORK ISLANDERS

Games this week

vs. Vancouver, vs. Ottawa

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: None

Notes

Josh Bailey leads the Islanders in scoring with 26 points, one better than linemate John Tavares. In the last 10 games Bailey has been held pointless on four occasions but has 15 points in the other six games. Up until last season he never had more than 41 points but a 56 point effort in 2016-17 certainly was a step in the right direction for this big start to the season. The Islanders have scored 16 power play goals in their last 54 chances after starting the season 0-20. Bailey has points on 11 goals with the man-advantage. Nick Leddy continues to excel offensively from the blueline as he has 16 points in his last 12 games after a two point in nine game start to the season. Mathew Barzal has 20 points in 21 games and is in the talk for the Calder Trophy.

NEW YORK RANGERS

Games this week

vs. Florida, vs. Carolina

Rested Team:  vs. Florida (Tuesday)

Tired Team: None

Notes

J.T. Miller is back at center for the third straight game on Friday as he is between Michael Grabner and Mats Zuccarello. Miller has three goals and 16 points in 22 games. Ryan McDonagh is out of action with an abdominal strain. Jimmy Vesey came into the NHL last season with plenty of fanfare and after a good start, fizzled out. This season he has four goals and seven points in 22 games which is okay but certainly not what the Rangers thought they were getting for the free agent. Henrik Lundqvist has allowed 11 goals over his last six games and only once has he allowed more than two. He has faced 191 shots in the six games.

OTTAWA

Games this week

@ Montreal, @ New York Islanders, @ Winnipeg

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: None

Notes

The Senators placed Christopher DiDomenico on waivers and he could get picked up by another team. He has six points in 12 games with three coming on the power play. Zack Smith could be back in time for the game against Montreal as he has been out since November 10 with a broken thumb. Mark Borowiecki is out with a concussion after being hit by Brendan Smith of the Rangers on Sunday. The Sens claimed Gabriel Dumont off waivers from Tamp Bay. Matt Duchene has yet to get a point in six games with Ottawa since his trade from Colorado. Ottawa has called up once again Thomas Chabot from the minors. Mark Stone is a plus-13 this season.

PHILADELPHIA

Games this week

@ Pittsburgh, vs. San Jose, vs. Boston

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: vs. San Jose (Tuesday)

Notes

The Flyers placed Matt Read on waivers this week but he went unclaimed and sent to the minors. Jori Lehtera was a healthy scratch Wednesday. The Flyers have to be regretting the deal that brought Lehtera and a first round pick (Morgan Frost) for Brayden Schenn who is currently tied for fourth in NHL scoring with 30 points.  The Flyers recalled Samuel Morin from the minors. Michael Raffl scored on Wednesday and it was his first goal since January 7. He also halted a 41 game pointless streak. Claude Giroux seems to have been reinvigorated with Sean Couturier at center. Both have 23 points in 22 games with Jakub Voracek, the other member of the line, at 27 points.

PITTSBURGH

Games this week

vs. Philadelphia, @ Buffalo, vs. Buffalo

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: None

Notes

The Penguins play a home-and-home series with Buffalo so look for Ryan Reaves to add to his penalty minute totals if there are any fights in the two matchups. Evgeni Malkin has missed two games including Friday with an upper body injury. This is no surprise as Malkin has played more than 70 games only once in his last eight seasons heading into this year. He may play on November 25. Sidney Crosby led the NHL in goals last season with 44 but has only one in his last 15 games this season. Matt Murray has been struggling of late, allowing 14 goals in his last five games as he is 2-3 in those matches. Murray is 11-6-1 with a 2.88 GAA and a .907 save percentage, not what you expected at least as far as his peripherals are concerned when he was drafted in your league.

ST. LOUIS

Games this week

vs. Anaheim, vs. Los Angeles, @ Minnesota

Rested Team: vs. Los Angeles (Friday)

Tired Team: @ Minnesota (Saturday)

Notes

The Blues are getting amazing production from their top line of Brayden Schenn, Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko as the trio are in the top eight of NHL scoring with 30, 30 and 26 points respectively. Carter Hutton has been great in limited action this season with a 1.71 GAA and a .943 save percentage to go with a perfect 4-0 record. The Blues should give him some more starts. Alex Pietrangelo has to be among the leaders, if not at the top in the race for the Norris Trophy. Alexander Steen missed practice on Thursday with a maintenance day. The Blues are starting to get some of their injured back as Jay Bouwmeester returned to the lineup after missing the start of the season with a fractured ankle. They are still missing Patrik Berglund (shoulder) who is close to a return.

SAN JOSE

Games this week

@ Philadelphia, @ Florida, @ Tampa Bay

Rested Team: @ Philadelphia (Tuesday)

Tired Team: @ Tampa Bay (Saturday)

Notes

The Sharks are getting great goaltending from both Martin Jones and Aaron Dell as the duo have a GAA of 2.03 and 2.14 respectively. It’s a good thing too as the Sharks have scored only 49 goals in 20 games. Joe Pavelski has only four goals and nine points in 20 games but apparently he has been playing with an undisclosed injury. Coach Peter DeBoer said that it was bad enough that a lot of guys would not be playing. If you have him in your pool, at least now you understand why he is struggling offensively. There is no reason to understand the offense of Brent Burns who has only eight assists in 20 games with nary a goal. He had 29 goals and 76 points last season so he likely went in the first round of most drafts. Tim Heed, the Sharks leader in defense goals with two, was a healthy scratch Wednesday.

TAMPA BAY

Games this week

@ Buffalo, @ Boston, vs. San Jose

Rested team: vs. San Jose (Saturday)

Tired Team: @ Boston (Wednesday)

Notes

Andrei Vasilevskiy should also be in the talk for the Vezina Trophy as the netminder is 15-2-1 with a 2.32 GAA and a .929 save percentage. The Lightning have so much offensive power that Vasilevskiy sometimes gets overlooked, but he shouldn’t be. The Lightning needed a defenseman in the off-season and gave up Jonathan Drouin to get Mikhail Sergachev. Thus far the trade has worked out great for Tampa Bay as they really have not needed Drouin’s offensive touch but they have sorely needed the 19-year-old defenseman who has a chance to be a great one. Great defensemen are very hard to come upon so this is looking exceedingly good for the Lightning. He has five goals and 14 points this season and trails only Victor Hedman by two in defenseman scoring with Tampa Bay.

TORONTO

Games this week

@ Calgary, @ Edmonton, @ Vancouver

Rested team:  None

Tired Team: None

Notes

The Maple Leafs are in Western Canada all week where the fans there will likely be 50-50 with the home team as the hockey team is extremely popular in the West. William Nylander has only one goal in his last 15 games. Coach Mike Babcock has switched around his lines and Mitch Marner is expected to join Auston Matthews and Zach Hyman on the top unit as the trio played together on Wednesday. Nylander was playing with Tyler Bozak and James van Riemsdyk. Frederik Andersen has given up only seven goals in his last six starts, stopping 212 shots in going 4-1-1. He has lowered his GAA to 2.73 and raised his save percentage to .918. Josh Leivo signed a one-year extension with Toronto for $925,000.

VANCOUVER

Games this week

@ New York Islanders, @ Nashville, vs. Toronto

Rested Team: None

Tired Team: None

Notes

The Canucks made an uneventful signing in the off-season when they inked goaltender Anders Nilsson to a contract. He has been great for them this season with a 5-1-1 record to go with a 2.25 GAA and a .934 save percentage and has provided them with stellar backup netminding when Jacob Markstrom needs a breather. The case could be made that Nilsson should be the starter as his stats are superior to Markstrom. Brock Boeser leads Vancouver with 11 goals and 21 points and is also in the thick of the things as far as the Calder Trophy is concerned. Loui Eriksson finally scored his first of the season Tuesday (into the empty net) and followed that up by beating Pittsburgh’s Matt Murray on Wednesday.

VEGAS

Games this week

vs. Dallas, @ Minnesota, @ Winnipeg, vs. Arizona

Rested Team: vs. Arizona (Sunday)

Tired Team: @ Winnipeg (Friday)

Notes

The Golden Knights play four games this week including three games in four nights. Malcolm Subban and Maxime Lagace should split the net.  William Karlsson has a three game goal scoring streak going and is up to 10 goals and 18 points in 20 games including six in his last three. The Golden Knights are tops in the Pacific Division as of Thanksgiving Day and that is the biggest surprise of the NHL season. I watched them Wednesday night on the road against Anaheim and not only did they win, they outshot them 49-19. That’s not an expansion team. There are no updates on the status of Marc-Andre Fleury who has been out since October 13 with a concussion.

WASHINGTON

Games this week

vs. Los Angeles, vs. Columbus

Rested team: vs. Columbus (Saturday)

Tired Team: None

Notes

Jakub Vrana was a healthy scratch on November 16 and since then has two goals and three points in three games. Alex Ovechkin has 14 goals in 23 games but started the season off with seven in his first two contests, meaning he has seven goals in his last 21 games.  He does have 104 shots on goal. The Capitals have not been able to trust backup Philipp Grubauer this season as he is 0-5-1 with a 3.86 GAA and a .876 save percentage. By contrast, Braden Holtby’s numbers are great as he is 12-5-0 with a 2.62 GAA and a .920 save percentage. Nicklas Backstrom is getting a point every other game in his last seven but has not found the back of the net since October 14, a span of 16 games.

WINNIPEG

Games this week

vs. Minnesota, @ Colorado, vs. Vegas, vs. Ottawa

Rested team: vs. Vegas (Friday)

Tired Team: None

Notes

The Jets finally got a strong game from Steve Mason on Wednesday as the backup goalkeeper stole one in Los Angeles, giving up only one goal on 39 shots. It’s about time say his few remaining fantasy owners. Patrik Laine continues to shine in the month of November as he has seven goals and 10 points in 10 games. Toby Enstrom is out eight weeks with a lower body injury. The Jets recalled Tucker Poolman from the minors to replace him on the roster. Bryan Little has been disappointing this season with only two goals and nine points in 21 games. On the other hand, you can’t complain with rookie Kyle Connor who has five goals and 11 points in 16 games while seeing action on the top line with Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler
