Wrapup: Loudon, NH & Kentucky

Kentucky Speedway hosted the NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Saturday afternoon. The Sparta, KY track also featured the ARCA Racing event on Saturday morning (was postponed from Friday night due to rain). The New Hampshire Motor Speedway “Miracle Mile” held three events this past weekend. On Saturday, the Camping World Truck Series ran their event in the afternoon followed by the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race that ran into the evening. Finally, on Sunday, the second race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup was run at the Loudon, NH track.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS)
Time Trials:
Carl Edwards (No. 19 Sport Clips Toyota Camry) won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Sylvania 300 with a lap of 27.604 seconds, 137.980 mph. This is his 16th pole in 401 NSCS races. It is his third pole and 16th top-10 start in 2015 and his second pole in 23 races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Edwards led 19 laps and finished the 300-lap race in fifth place.
Did Not Qualify: No. 30 Travis Kvapil.
Winner: Matt Kenseth (No. 20 Dollar General Toyota Camry) won the Sylvania 300, his 36th victory in 572 NSCS races. This is his fifth victory and 18th top-10 finish in 2015. It is his second victory and 17th top-10 finish in 32 races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He started 13th in the lineup and led 27 laps of the 300-lap race. With the victory, Kenseth advances to the Contender Round.

Time Trials:
Daniel Suarez (No. 18 ARRIS Toyota Camry) won the Coors Light Pole Award for the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 with a lap of 30.024 seconds, 179.856 mph. This is his third pole in 29 NXS races and his third pole and 22nd top-10 start in 2015. It is Suarez's first pole in two races at Kentucky Speedway. He led two laps and finished the 201-lap race in 23rd place.
Did Not Qualify: No. 92 Mario Gosselin.
Winner: Ryan Blaney (No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang) won the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300, his fourth victory in 41 NXS races. This is his second victory and eighth top-10 finish in 2015. It is his second victory and fourth top-10 finish in five races at Kentucky Speedway. Blaney started fifth in the lineup and led a race-high 81 laps in the 201-lap event.

Sprint Cup driver Austin Dillon (No. 3 Chevrolet SS) won the Keystone Light Pole Award for the 18th Running UNOH 175 with a lap of 28.574 seconds, 133.296 mph (new track record). This is his 13th pole in 67 NCWTS races. It is his first pole and fourth top-10 NCWTS start in 2015. Dillon is piloting the No. 33 Rheem Chevrolet Silverado in his fourth NCWTS race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Did Not Qualify: No. 6 Norm Benning and No. 44 Josh Reaume.
Winner: Austin Dillon won the UNOH 175, his seventh victory in 67 NCWTS races. This is his first victory and fourth top-10 NCWTS finish in 2015 and his first victory and third top-10 finish in four NCWTS races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Dillon led a race-high 80 laps in the 175-lap event.
