Time Trials: (*) Unusual circumstances. The teams mounted "rain tires" since it started to rain as qualifying was about to begin at Road America, but the weather cleared before the cars hit the track. Parts of the 4.048-mile road course were dry (too dry for rain tires) and other spots were still wet (too wet for regular "slicks"). Qualifying was cancelled and the lineup was based on practice results. Camping World Truck Series regular Austin Cindric, driving the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang, started first. IndyCar Series regular James Davison, driving the No. 20 Hollinger Motor Sports Toyota, started second. No. 1 Elliott Sadler, No. 18 Christopher Bell and No. 42 Justin Marks rounded out the rest of the top five. No. 9 William Byron was the highest starting Rookie of the Year contender.
Did not qualify: No one; 40 cars entered for 40 spots in the lineup.
