In a new regular column on Rotoworld, we reflect on the tournaments just gone and also take an early peek at the action ahead on the PGA and European Tours.
Porsche European Open
1. (-14, 274) Paul Casey (Odds: 13/2)
2. (-13, 275) Robert MacIntyre (Odds: 66/1)
2. (-13, 275) Bernd Ritthammer (Odds: 750/1)
2. (-13, 275) Matthias Schwab (Odds: 25/1)
2. (-12, 276) Bernd Wiesberger (Odds: 25/1)
Notes: Green Eagle has staged just three editions of this event and Casey becomes the third English winner. MacIntyre had to settle for his third second place of the season while the top five was rounded out by a local German and two in-form players form neigboring Austria.
Fate of the favorites
Notes: A lacklustre week for the two short-priced, big-name Americans - Schauffele and Reed - with Casey beating them by 15 and 16 shots respectively. At least they made the cut, unlike Matt Kuchar.
Coming up this week…
A Military Tribue at The Greenbrier
Location: The Old White TPC, West Virginia. 7,286 yards, par 70.
Notes: The first event of the 2019/20 wraparound season! It's a new slot for The Greenbrier which was previously played in July. It's the first of 11 events to be played this side of 2020.
Who’s playing? Bryson DeChambeau, Marc Leishman, Viktor Hovland, Joaquin Niemann, Cameron Smith, Kevin Na, Bubba Watson, Zach Johnson, Keegan Bradley, Jason Dufner, Scottie Scheffler, Tom Lewis, Byeong Hun An, Russell Henley, J.B. Holmes, Sungjae Im, Jason Kokrak.
Past winners at The Greenbrier
2018 (-19, 261) Kevin Na – 2nd PGA TOUR win
2017 (-14, 266) Xander Schauffele – 1st PGA TOUR win
2016 cancelled due to flooding
2015 (-13, 267) Danny Lee – 1st PGA TOUR win
2014 (-16, 264) Angel Cabrera – 3rd PGA TOUR win
Notes: First played in 2010 when Stuart Appleby shot a closing 59 to win by one, this is the ninth edition (2016 was cancelled). We've had four American winners and four from overseas (Australia, Sweden, Argentina and New Zealand).
Sep 19-22 Sanderson Farms Championship
Sept 26-29 Safeway Open
Oct 2-6 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open
Oct 10-13 Houston Open
Oct 17-20 THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES - South Korea
Oct 24-27 The ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP - Japan
Location: The International, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 6,966 yards, par 73.
Notes: A brand new course for the European Tour and, for the second week running, we have a track with five par 5s although this one is short at just under 7,000 yards if the official European Tour website yardages are to be believed. According to one local golf writer who spoke to us: "It's an inland links(ish) course with pretty tough rough and very slopey greens. It gets quite windy there at times and the weather predictions are that there might be some rain."
Past winners of KLM Open

2017 (-15, 269) Romain Wattel – 1st European Tour win
